When the customer already knows what they want and the shop makes them wander
A shop with a grid of big photos is designed for people who are discovering. But someone placing a repeat order, a restaurant restocking, a wholesale buyer or a customer booking a service doesn't want to discover anything: they want to see name, price and stock on a single screen and add to cart. Making them scroll through long pages is the surest way to get them to phone in their order or leave.
WPC Product Table for WooCommerce turns a selection of products into a compact table, with search and pagination, that you can place on any page you like.
How WPC Product Table chooses the products for each table
You decide what goes into each table, and it doesn't have to be the whole catalog. You can build a "weekly order" table, another for the daily menu and another for wholesale products.
- Product by product: type a keyword, search and add it to the list.
- By category: pick one or several and all their products come in.
- By tags or attributes: pull in everything that matches at once.
You can also add specific exclusions, set the order in which products appear and limit the maximum number of products per table.
Columns the customer can reorder, with a limit worth knowing
The builder works by drag and drop. Each column has its own settings and you can choose up to 16 types: name, name and price, SKU, thumbnail, price, stock, availability, add to cart button, short description, reviews, compare, quick view, wishlist and a custom column where you define your own property.
If you enable "Orderable" on a column, the customer sorts ascending or descending with the arrows on the frontend. It is enabled column by column: it makes sense on price or name, and you can leave it off where it adds nothing. The table also includes instant search, a selector for how many items are shown and pagination.
What you need to keep in mind
Each table takes its products from a single source: either individual products, or categories, or tags. They can't be mixed in the same table. And for the compare, quick view and wishlist columns, check in the demo how they behave before relying on them for your sales flow.
Questions people ask before installing it
Can I have several tables with different designs?
Yes. Each table is configured separately and you can choose a suitable design for each one, as well as adapt the presentation to your site's style.
Is it useful for a shop with few products?
Yes, but it shows most where customers compare or reorder: quick orders, wholesale, restaurants or food ordering sites.
Can I change the texts into Spanish?
The plugin is ready for localization: the strings it includes can be translated.
Does it replace my shop page?
Not by itself. You create the table and show it wherever you place the shortcode; your normal shop stays as it is.
The shortcode decides where each table appears
Once the table is created, you paste its shortcode into any page or post. Think first about which tables you need: for example, one per type of customer or per product line, with just the right columns. Fewer columns read better on mobile, so start with name, price and add to cart button, and add the rest only if it truly helps people decide. Also check the product limit per table so it doesn't grow longer than it should.
