About WPC Product Tabs for WooCommerce
When the page doesn't answer, the customer doesn't ask: they leave
The WooCommerce product page comes with three default tabs (description, additional information and reviews), and many stores end up cramming everything into the description: measurements, materials, care instructions, shipping, common questions. The result is a huge block that nobody reads in full. Someone who doubts a detail rarely writes to ask: they close the tab and buy from another store. Splitting that information into clearly named tabs lets each buyer jump straight to what worries them.
How tabs are organized in WPC Product Tabs for WooCommerce
The plugin starts from the three global WooCommerce tabs and lets you move them around, change their title and text, or remove the ones you don't use. You can also create as many custom tabs as you want with a visual editor (WYSIWYG), where you see how the content will look in the store.
- Drag-and-drop order: move each tab up or down without touching code.
- Editable titles and texts: for example, "Size guide" instead of "Additional information".
- One shortcode per tab: every custom tab generates its own, so you can place that content elsewhere on the page and not only in the tab area.
- Compatibility: it is built to work with WPClever plugins, most WooCommerce add-ons and WordPress themes.
Content for members, based on user role
Each custom tab can be restricted to one or more user roles. It is useful for a technical sheet that only wholesale customers see, or a manual reserved for people who have already bought. Note: the plugin only decides who sees the tab. It doesn't create roles, register users or manage subscriptions; you need to have that set up separately, with WooCommerce registration or a membership plugin.
Different tabs for each product require the premium edition
With global tabs, every product shows the same set. If you need a product to have its own tabs, you need the premium edition, and it helps to know what is and isn't covered:
- Already solved with global tabs: reordering, renaming, removing and creating tabs, one shortcode per tab and visibility by role.
- Premium edition only: adjusting tabs inside each product (replacing the global list, adding at the start or at the end), tabs with dynamic content and applying the global ones to a selection of products only.
- Up to you: writing the content of each tab. The plugin provides the place, not the text for sizes, warranty or care.
- Up to you: checking that the tab design fits your theme, especially if the theme changes the product page with its own layout.
- With a professional: a tab design very different from the standard (accordions, icons, vertical layout) is not something the plugin offers on its own.
Frequently asked questions about WPC Product Tabs
Can I create a different tab for just one product?
With the premium edition, yes. With global tabs, the same set of tabs applies to the whole store.
Can I show a tab only to registered customers?
Yes, by specifying the allowed role in that tab's settings. Users must already be registered with that role.
Does it work for multilingual stores?
If you use a translation system, test it in a staging environment before publishing.
Do I need to know how to code?
Not for the basics: it is set up from the WPClever settings with drag and drop and a visual editor. Changing the look beyond what the editor allows will require CSS.
