About WPForms Salesforce Addon

When leads live in email and the CRM lags behind

A contact form that only sends an email leaves the job half done: someone has to copy the name, company and message into Salesforce, and that step is where data gets lost, records get duplicated or a prospect sits in an inbox for days. WPForms Salesforce Addon closes that gap: every form submission can create the record directly in your CRM.

A CRM is only as reliable as what goes into it. If the sales team stops trusting the data, they go back to their spreadsheet, and that is the end of Salesforce's value. Automating data entry matters more for data quality than for the time it saves.

What WPForms Salesforce Addon does with each submission

The addon maps form fields to the fields of a Salesforce object. You choose which object each form creates: account, campaign, case, contact, lead, opportunity or product.

  • Field mapping: you link each form field to the matching Salesforce field, with no copying and pasting.
  • Conditional logic: you decide which submissions go to the CRM based on what the user selects. Useful to avoid filling Salesforce with inquiries that are not sales-related.
  • Multiple Salesforce accounts: you can connect more than one and choose which one each form uses from the builder itself.

What to be clear about

It is a WPForms addon: it does not work on its own and needs the base plugin. Its job is to send form data to Salesforce, not to sync in the opposite direction or update existing records based on changes in the CRM. If you expect two-way syncing, this is not that kind of tool. It also does not replace the design of your Salesforce structure: the fields you want to fill must already exist there.

Common questions before connecting it

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Mapping is done from the form builder with drag and drop.

Can I send only some submissions to the CRM?

Yes, using conditional logic based on the user's answers.

Can I use several Salesforce accounts?

Yes, and you choose each form's account in the builder itself.

Is the data sent securely?

Submission goes through the Salesforce API to your account.

Can I also get the form data out in another format?

Yes, entries can be exported as CSV or XLSX, for example to analyze them outside Salesforce.

Authorize the account and test the mapping before publishing

The connection is made by authorizing your Salesforce account from WPForms. Before publishing, send a test submission for each form and check in Salesforce that the record appears in the right object with each piece of data in its field. Review the conditional rules too: a mistake there means leads that never reach the CRM without anyone noticing. If you use several accounts, confirm that each form points to the right one.
