Tell customers about their order without relying on email
A customer who has just paid wants to know whether the order is moving, and WooCommerce emails often land in spam or go unopened. That turns into "where is my order?" messages that your team answers by hand. WPNotif moves those alerts to the phone, by SMS or WhatsApp, straight from your WordPress.
Automatic and manual notifications with WPNotif
The plugin is compatible with WooCommerce and can send a message when the customer creates an order and every time that order changes status. You can also trigger the status SMS manually and send messages from the order page itself. There is also a quick manual SMS send for one-off cases.
- Alerts for your team: store owners, editors and other admins can set up messages or WhatsApp alerts for themselves.
- WhatsApp with or without SMS: you can send WhatsApp alongside SMS, or turn SMS off and use only WhatsApp.
- Country code detection: if the phone field has no country code, the plugin recognizes this and adds it automatically.
Selling in several countries: gateways and per-language templates
If your store ships to different countries, SMS becomes a cost that varies a lot by destination. WPNotif lets you assign a different gateway to each country, so you can pick the cheapest one for each route or combine several, and aim for better delivery.
SMS templates can be created in several languages, so each customer receives the message in their own. You can also vary the text between customers or between successive messages.
It includes more than 20 integrated gateways (Nexmo, Sinch, Plivo, Clickatell, MessageBird, Infobip and many more). If yours is not listed, there is a custom gateway integration. It supports multisite and is ready to be translated.
What to decide before choosing WPNotif
Before buying, the key point is that the plugin is the sender of the messages, not the carrier. You need your own account with an SMS gateway, and the cost of each message is set by that provider, not by the plugin. The same goes for WhatsApp: delivery depends on the service you connect. Its strength is WooCommerce; if you do not sell, you only get manual sends and admin alerts.
Is it only for WooCommerce stores?
It is mainly designed for them, with alerts per order and per status change. Outside WooCommerce, you are left with manual messages and admin alerts.
Are SMS messages free?
No. Each send is billed by the gateway you choose. The plugin helps you split the spend by choosing the cheapest route per country.
Can I use only WhatsApp?
Yes, you can turn SMS off and keep only WhatsApp messages.
What if my SMS provider is not on the list?
You can connect it with the custom gateway integration. Check in the demo how it is configured before you decide.
Does it work for customers in several languages?
Yes, it allows SMS templates in several languages.
