About XT WooCommerce Floating Cart Pro

Add to cart is not the end of the sale, it is its most fragile moment

Many WooCommerce stores lose orders right after the click on «Add to cart»: the page reloads, the shopper does not know whether the product went in, the cart is hidden in a menu and paying means going through two more pages. Whoever builds a store thinks about the catalog and the photos, and that stretch afterwards is left undesigned.

XT WooCommerce Floating Cart Pro adds a floating cart that slides in as soon as someone adds a product, with quantities, totals and the checkout button at hand, all updated through Ajax.

From the T-shirt to the order without leaving the page

Picture a clothing store and a shopper who wants a T-shirt and a cap. This is what happens at each step:

  • Add: the button works through Ajax in the listing, on the product page and in quick view. While it loads, a spinner is shown (there are 11 to choose from) and, if you enable the fly to cart animation, the product flies to the cart icon so the shopper sees where it went.
  • Review: the cart opens with the icon and the counter. The shopper changes quantities, removes products and, if they make a mistake, taps undo. If they reach the maximum quantity, they see a notice. They can also clear or restore the whole cart in one click.
  • Nudge a little further: you can enable the coupon form with the list of available coupons, total savings, related, cross-sell or upsell products, and a progress bar showing how much more is needed for free shipping.
  • Pay: the button can be Checkout or View cart. If you enable the checkout form, it loads below the product list and the button becomes Place order, so the customer finishes without loading another page. The PayPal Express button can appear below the totals.

The limits are part of the walkthrough: it is a cart, not a redesign of your whole store, and it only works on top of WooCommerce. Paying inside the cart is optional; if your checkout has very particular fields or gateways, check in the demo that the form covers what you need.

Common questions before installing XT WooCommerce Floating Cart Pro

Will it feel intrusive?

You decide how noticeable it is: position of the cart and the counter, width and height, visibility per device and the pages where it should not appear. There is also an option to open it on mouse over.

Does it support variable or grouped products?

It supports bundles and composite products, shows the product attributes inside the cart and is compatible with Woo Variations Table.

Does it work on mobile and right-to-left languages?

Yes: it is responsive and has RTL support.

Can I keep the cart icon in the menu?

Yes. You can add a menu item with the item count, the total amount or both, and clicking it opens or closes the floating cart.

Fitting it to your store without touching code

Everything is set up in the WordPress Customizer with a live preview: position (for example bottom right or bottom left), size, colors, backgrounds, Google Fonts and your own icons. You can choose between two opening animations, morph or slide.

Keep in mind that the more you enable (coupons, suggestions, shipping bar, checkout form), the more the shopper sees in a small space. Start with the essentials and add the rest only if your store needs it.
