Once a second seller joins, every product must say who sells it

While the store is only yours, nobody wonders who they are buying from: the brand in the header answers everything. The day you admit another seller, that answer stops working. Two similar products in the same grid may come from different places, and buyers want to know that before they pay.

A marketplace shows first on the product card and the product page, before it shows in the commission system. Xtocky, by themepiko, is a WooCommerce theme ready for that moment: it brings vendor labels to the shop and the product, and vendor details to a tab. If you never grow past a single store, those pieces simply stay out of play.

The shop grid and the product page

The shop page offers grid and list views, AJAX filters, an off-canvas sidebar filter and 9 product layout types, from 1 to 5 columns. There is AJAX pagination, AJAX add to cart, quick view, compare, a wishlist and a new-product badge you control by date.

Commissions and payouts belong to the marketplace plugin

Xtocky takes care of how each seller is presented. Commission calculation and vendor payouts are not among its features: those belong to Dokan, WC Vendors or the plugin you choose, and without one of them the store still has a single seller.

WPBakery is one of its required plugins, along with Pikoworks core and Pikoworks custom post, so your pages will be tied to that builder. If you may want to change editors later, keep that in mind from the start.

Server memory, plugins and the demo import

For PHP, 128 MB of memory, 180 seconds of execution time and 32 MB for uploads and posts are recommended. Slider Revolution, Ultimate Addons and WooCommerce are recommended plugins.

Setup follows this order:

1. Upload the theme, activate it and check the System Status page.
2. Install the plugins from the Xtocky, Plugins menu.
3. In the Visual Composer Role Manager, enable the post, page, product, block, faq, member and portfolio content types.
4. Install the WooCommerce pages and enable registration in the account settings.
5. With One Click Demo Import, import the demo; then import the slider, set the home and blog pages, and assign the menus.

Your marketplace engine, WoodMart and setup cases

If you plan to open the store to third parties, you will need the engine on top of the theme: Dokan Pro gives each seller a dashboard on the public side of the site, with fixed or percentage commissions.

If you would rather not depend on a single builder, WoodMart works with Elementor, WPBakery and the block editor, and brings its own wishlist and compare features.

Does Xtocky turn my store into a marketplace?

Not by itself. You need a plugin such as Dokan or WC Vendors; the theme adapts the shop and the product to show each seller.

Which pages should I exclude from caching?

Cart, My Account, Checkout and Wishlist, because they must stay dynamic.

How do I save my settings before updating?

Make a copy under Appearance, Theme Options, Import / Export. And do not rename the theme folder.

What if I imported the demo twice?

WP Reset returns the site to a clean install, but it deletes everything: pages, posts, menus, sliders and theme options. Use it only if you want to start over.
