About Advance Ecommerce Tracking Premium (Premium)

When GA4 only tells you 3,000 people visited and you sold 40

A WooCommerce store with basic Google Analytics sees visits, pages and little else. You know how many people arrived and how many paid, but not where the rest got lost: on the product page, in the cart or right before paying. Advance Ecommerce Tracking Premium sends your store's ecommerce events to Google Analytics 4 so that blank stretch stops being blank.

Most visitors don't buy, and the money leaks at a specific point almost nobody measures. Optimizing without that data means changing designs blindly.

What Advance Ecommerce Tracking Premium records along the buying journey

The plugin follows each step of the customer and sends it to GA4:

  • Product impressions and clicks
  • Add to cart
  • Checkout and purchase: where the process is abandoned.

With that sequence you can find the step where conversion drops.

What it gives you depending on who you are

If you run the store yourself

You can turn on the purchases-by-product report: quantities, revenue, best sellers and those lagging behind.

If you manage the advertising

Turn on dynamic remarketing to show ads to people who interacted with products and didn't buy. You can also define custom dimensions and metrics to segment the data, plus custom Google Analytics events with their parameters, to measure specific interactions in your store.

If you look after analytics or work for several clients

There are options to enable or disable advanced GA4 features from the dashboard: internal search tracking, 404 errors, file downloads, enhanced link attribution, user ID and forms. You can also exclude user roles with checkboxes, so your own administrator or editor visits don't pollute the figures.

How it connects to your Google Analytics account

You enter the tracking ID in the plugin settings and GA4 starts receiving sessions, page views and user data such as location or visit duration. Then you need to enable ecommerce data collection in your Google Analytics account so that transactions, revenue and product actions show up. It is a separate step that is easy to forget.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for stores that don't use WooCommerce?

No. It is built for WooCommerce; without a WooCommerce store, the product and purchase events have nowhere to come from.

Do I no longer need to log in to Google Analytics?

You still do: the plugin collects and sends the data, but you check the reports and analysis in your GA4 account.

How do I know the code is on every page?

Open any page in your browser, inspect the code and look for the Google Analytics script. If you have connected your account or entered the ID, it should appear on all of them.

Can I avoid counting my own visits?

Yes, with role exclusion: you tick the roles you don't want to measure.

Is it useful for advertising?

It lets you enable dynamic remarketing, but campaigns are created and managed in your advertising account.

It needs a GA4 account and doesn't replace analysis

The plugin is not a statistics dashboard of its own: it depends on you having a Google Analytics 4 property set up. Nor does it tell you what to do with the numbers; spotting the problem is your job. And if you are going to segment or follow users with ID or remarketing, check your cookie and privacy notices yourself.
