What Advanced Custom Fields Pro adds to WordPress content management
When a site outgrows the standard title and content fields, editing becomes a challenge: editors need their own data structures, developers need the flexibility to model them, and both need the process to be fast. Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro solves this by adding a set of advanced fields and tools on top of the free ACF plugin, built specifically for creating custom editing interfaces without having to code forms from scratch.
Advanced fields for complex data structures
The Pro version includes field types that aren't available in the free edition. The repeater field lets you create sets of subfields that repeat as many times as needed, useful for feature lists, testimonials or any content with a variable structure. The flexible content field goes a step further: it lets you define multiple subfield layouts and combine them freely, working as a content layout manager right inside the editor. The gallery field provides an interface for adding, ordering and editing image collections, and the clone field lets you reuse fields or field groups already created elsewhere on the site, avoiding duplicate configurations.
