What Affiliate Butler Pro does with each keyword
- Automatic linking: assigns a URL, internal or external, to one or more keywords.
- Dofollow or nofollow: you decide whether the link passes SEO value or not, depending on the destination type.
- Automatic shortening: keeps URLs cleaner and more presentable.
- Case sensitivity: you fine-tune the replacement when a word can mean different things depending on how it is written.
- Per-post limit: you set how many times the same word is linked in each post, so the text isn't filled with repeated links.
- Categories and taxonomies: links automatically to their archive pages.
Popups instead of a link
A keyword can also open a popup with an image, video or form, and there is a tooltip for sharing on social media. It's useful if you want to show something without taking the visitor off the page. Note: this is a linking and statistics plugin, not a store or an affiliate program manager. It doesn't record commissions or sales, only the clicks that go through your links.
Click stats: what you will and won't see
It records the clicks on each link, with data such as country and browser, and you can view them per keyword or generate reports by period and link type. It helps you decide which links deserve more space in your content. It doesn't replace the affiliate network's dashboard, which is where conversions are confirmed.

Start with your ten most profitable keywords
Don't load hundreds of keywords on day one. Pick the mentions of the products that matter most to you, assign their destination, decide whether each link goes with nofollow, and set a per-post limit. Then check on a couple of pages that the replacement doesn't clash with text where you don't want a link, and expand the list gradually once the stats back up the change.
