How AIO SEO IndexNow Addon notifies Bing and Yandex
You turn it on from the Feature Manager in All in One SEO, and it works with the IndexNow protocol, a Microsoft service that lets search engines discover content without waiting for their crawlers. From then on it detects changes and notifies them.
- Automatic detection: when you publish or update pages, posts or custom post types, the notification goes out by itself, with no manual submissions.
- API key without hassle: the plugin generates and manages the key for you. There are no sign-ups or profiles to create.

Google does not take part in IndexNow
This is the limit most worth understanding before you install it. The list below separates what the addon already does from what you will have to cover another way.

- On your own: notifying Google. It does not use IndexNow, and its Indexing API is limited to job posting and livestream pages. For Google, the sitemap and Search Console still apply.
- On your own: making sure the content deserves to be indexed. The notification speeds up discovery, but the decision belongs to the search engine.
- On your own: rankings. Getting indexed sooner does not raise positions by itself.
How to check that AIO SEO IndexNow Addon is working
There is a simple check. Open your domain in the browser followed by your API key and the .txt ending. If you see the key on screen, the verification file is in place.
You do not need to touch server files or technical settings.
Frequently asked questions
Does it guarantee my pages get indexed?
No. It raises the odds that Bing and Yandex discover and crawl the change sooner, but indexing is still the search engine's decision.
Will it improve my position in the results?
Not directly. Fast indexing makes sure search engines know about your updates, which is mostly useful for time-sensitive content or important changes.
Do I have to configure anything?
No. Once you activate it, the key is generated and managed automatically, and notifications start going out.
Does it speed up indexing on Google?
No. Google does not use IndexNow, so for it you need other tools, such as the sitemap and Search Console.
