About Amelia & James – Wedding Invitation Elementor Template

A wedding website exists for two things

So people can confirm whether they are coming, and so they stop calling to ask what time, how to get there and where to stay. Everything else, however lovely, is decoration around that.

This Elementor template set brings more than fifteen pages for building that site: homepage, our story, bridesmaids and groomsmen, frequently asked questions, RSVP, grid and masonry galleries, blog, contact, and the header and footer.

What it needs to work

It is a set of designs, not a theme and not a plugin. It gets imported onto a WordPress you already have, with a compatible theme underneath. Besides Elementor in its free version, it asks for Jeg Elementor Kit and MetForm, which is what builds the RSVP and contact forms.

The page that actually needs work

The RSVP one. And worth thinking through before laying out, because a form collects replies but does not keep a list.

What you are going to need the month before the wedding is a table of who is coming, how many they are, who is coeliac or vegetarian, who needs the coach and who is staying over. If the form only sends emails, you are going to build that table by hand at the worst possible moment.

Worth connecting the replies to a spreadsheet from day one, and adding to the form the fields you will genuinely use: allergies, named guests, transport and accommodation. Half an hour at the start and three fewer evenings at the end.

Two details worth noting

The demo photographs are not yours. They come with their own licence and have to be replaced. At a wedding that is not a problem: yours are better than any stock photo.

And the site has an expiry date. After the wedding it stops making sense, unless you turn it into the gallery for the guests. If that is the plan, worth deciding now: the masonry gallery in the set fits that well.
