A lightweight theme stops being one as soon as you fill it

What the official Astra Pro licence covers

The updates from the WordPress dashboard, the maker's support and activation against their servers, which is what keeps the modules current. The GPLClub team does the activation on your domain.

On shops and training sites. That is where the specific modules save most work and where lightness turns into money, because every second of load time gets paid in abandoned carts.

About licensing and the GPL

Astra's code is distributed under the GPL licence and its use is free. Automatic updates, support and activation against the maker's servers are separate services, contracted with them. They are not the same thing, and buying one is not buying the other.
