About AutomatorWP Kadence Blocks
Every submission from your form is a task with no owner
Someone requests a quote through the form you designed with Kadence Blocks. The message lands in a shared inbox. A person opens it, copies it into the task manager and assigns it. If nobody checks the inbox that day, the request waits.
The form captures the data, but the work begins when someone decides what to do with it. As long as that decision goes through a person reading email, your most carefully built form ends up in the same bottleneck as any other.
This add-on connects Kadence Blocks with AutomatorWP, the automation plugin for WordPress. It makes a form submission start an automation and puts the field values within reach of its actions. The form is still built with the Kadence block, without leaving the editor.
Four ways to start an automation
- User submits a form (Free): a logged-in user submits a form.
- Guest submits a form (Free): a guest submits it.
- User submits a specific field value (Pro): a user submits a specific value in a field.
- Guest submits a specific field value (Pro): a guest submits it.
A free field value tag joins them, carrying any data submitted in the form to the actions.
Reacting to a specific form value
The field value triggers react to what the person answered, not just to the act of submitting. If one form receives requests of different kinds, you can try creating one automation for each value.
The tag completes the idea: the name, subject or details typed into the form can travel to the action. Before relying on a flow like this, test it with your real form. Three combinations to start from:
- A user submits a form and Easy Affiliate adds a referral for them.
- A user submits a specific value and ClickUp creates a task in a list.
- A guest submits a form and Code Snippets activates a code snippet.
Each one also needs the add-on for the destination tool.
It only listens: the actions come from elsewhere
It has no actions of its own. It provides triggers and a tag; what happens next depends on AutomatorWP's other integrations.
An anonymous automation supports a single trigger. That type applies the actions to a user other than the one who started it, either an existing or a new one. Each guest trigger needs its own automation.
Nor does it replace either plugin. Forms are created in Kadence Blocks and automations in AutomatorWP.
Setting up the first trigger
You need AutomatorWP and Kadence Blocks active, plus this add-on. The most direct test is this:
- Create a form with the Kadence Blocks block and publish it.
- In AutomatorWP, create an automation and add the User submits a form trigger.
- Add an action from another integration and use the field value tag.
- Activate the automation and submit the form with test data.
Beyond Kadence: the engine and other forms
AutomatorWP Pro allows automations with several conditions and several steps.
AutomatorWP WP Fluent Forms offers equivalent triggers and adds others for scored quizzes.
Uncanny Automator Pro is another automation engine inside WordPress, based on recipes with triggers, actions and conditions.
What it needs and what each edition covers
Does it work without AutomatorWP?
No. It is an add-on that connects that plugin with Kadence Blocks.
Does it recognize submissions from people without an account?
Yes, with the guest triggers.
Which part belongs to the Pro edition?
The two field value triggers. Submitting a form and the tag belong to the Free edition.
Can it change anything inside Kadence Blocks?
It provides no actions on Kadence Blocks: the add-on only listens to submissions.
