For businesses whose clients already come back every week (and not for those starting from zero)
Booking a single appointment is easy. What gets complicated is the client who wants the same slot every Tuesday for three months: they end up writing on WhatsApp, phoning, or repeating the booking again and again, and you end up noting everything down by hand. Bookly Recurring Appointments Addon turns that request into a single booking that generates the whole series.
Before buying, be clear about one limit: it is an add-on and does not work on its own. It needs Bookly PRO installed, so if you do not use Bookly yet, you are buying two pieces rather than one. It also will not help if your services are almost always a one-off visit (a single consultation, a repair, a procedure): repetition would go unused.
It fits, however, businesses where continuity is the norm: physiotherapy sessions, private lessons, personal training, treatments in courses, therapies, or any service scheduled over time.
Repeat business lives on consistency, not on the first appointment
In series-based services, money and calendar time are not lost at the first booking, but at the fourth or fifth, when the client has to ask for a slot again and forgets. If the series is booked from the start, the calendar fills with committed visits and you stop depending on the client remembering. The add-on gives you that tool, but the commitment comes from the client: a booked series does not guarantee they will show up.
How repetition is set up in Bookly Recurring Appointments Addon
- Per service or for all: you can enable recurring appointments for all services or only for those where it makes sense.
- Intervals: daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly, set for each service separately.
- From the Bookly form: the client books the series with a few clicks, weeks or months ahead.
- Management from the panel: recurring appointments are managed in the Bookly admin panel, alongside the rest of your bookings.
Charging the first appointment or the whole series
This is a business decision, not just a technical one. You can choose to have the client pay only for the first appointment or for the whole series at once. Charging only the first lowers the barrier to entry; charging for everything secures income and reduces the risk of empty slots. Think about which suits your service before enabling it, because it changes the conversation with the client and your cancellation policy.
Fewer emails and cancellations without a phone call
A series of twelve appointments should not mean twelve emails. The client receives a single combined notification for the whole booking. In addition, both the client and the staff can cancel the series of recurring appointments from the email itself, without logging into the panel or writing to the business.
