About Bookory – Book Store WooCommerce Theme

In an online bookstore, customers often arrive with a title or an author in mind

Building a book shop with a generic theme often ends in identical product pages, a search box that cannot find the exact title and a catalog that grows without anyone knowing how to move around it. People buying a book rarely browse for fun: they look for an author, a new release or something similar to the last book they read. That is why the shop window matters less than how easily someone reaches the book.

Bookory is a WooCommerce theme designed for bookstores, publishers, authors and writers who want to sell printed books, magazines or ebooks. It is built on Elementor, so you can adjust pages by dragging elements and seeing the change on the same screen, without touching code.

Bookory comes with author, shop and book pages already designed

You do not start from a blank page. The theme includes templates for the pieces a bookstore really needs:

  • More than five homepage demos, so you can pick the tone that best suits your catalog.
  • More than six shop page styles and more than five product page layouts, useful if you sell novels and technical books and want to present them differently.
  • An authors and writers page with contact details so readers can get in touch with them, useful for publishers with their own catalog.
  • A blog ready for reviews, book introductions and recommendations, and a pack of inner pages that you only need to fill in with your store details.

Demos are imported with one click using its import tool, and from there you adapt them to your bookstore.

Ajax search, author filters and a compare tool for readers who hesitate

The most noticeable part of a book shop is how easily people find what they want. Bookory includes an Ajax search that suggests products as you type, and a filtering system by category, author, price or reviews. The mega menu helps a large catalog avoid forcing visitors through page after page.

For the undecided reader there is a quick view popup, a wishlist and a product compare tool. There is also a countdown timer for deals with a deadline, best used only with real promotions. It is optimized for mobile and retina screens, and it supports WPML and right-to-left writing for multilingual shops.

Choose Bookory if you already have WooCommerce and Elementor, and perhaps Dokan

Bookory does not work on its own: it relies on WooCommerce for the shop and on Elementor to edit pages. It also comes with Slider Revolution and is compatible with plugins such as Mailchimp, WPML or Contact Form 7. If you want to turn your store into a marketplace where others register as vendors, the theme is compatible with Dokan, but that plugin is separate and is what provides that function. Check in the demo whether the product pages show the details you expect from a book, such as ISBN or publisher, because you should not assume they come as dedicated fields.

Can I sell ebooks as well as printed books?

The theme is designed for printed books, magazines and ebooks, but handling downloads and stock depends on WooCommerce and the plugins you use.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Pages are edited visually with Elementor and demos are imported with one click.

Can I set up a store with several vendors?

Yes, with the Dokan plugin, which is compatible but not part of the theme.

Can I use it for a site in several languages?

It supports WPML and right-to-left writing, so it can be used in multilingual shops.
