About Calendarista Premium
A hotel night and a hair salon slot are not booked the same way
Most booking plugins fail at the same thing: they treat every service as a one-hour appointment. But an apartment is rented by the night with check-in and check-out days, a car is picked up in one place and returned in another, and a golf round is sold in time slots with deals. If the calendar does not speak the language of your business, you end up handling half of it by phone.
Calendarista Premium starts from that idea: instead of a single calendar, it offers different booking modes depending on how the time of what you sell is measured. It fits hotels, car rental, apartments, travel agencies or beauty salons.
The 12 booking modes of Calendarista Premium, by type of business
They come built in, with no add-ons. The most useful ones by case:
- Single date: the customer books by choosing a single start date.
- Date and time, with several slots at once: the customer picks a date and time, with padding.
- Date range with changeover days: check-in and check-out.
- Round trip: pickup and return, with or without time.
- Packages and non-consecutive dates: the customer books a package of one or more dates, or picks several separate days in any order.
You can also turn time slots into deals (there is a golf tee time demo) and publish a service, or a list of services, on any page with a shortcode. Bookings can repeat by day, week, month or year, both the customer's and the manual ones you enter yourself.
Extras, seasonal rates and routes with Google Maps
Optional extras can be free or paid and are organized in unlimited categories. There are also seasonal rates, taxes and custom fields to ask the customer for whatever you need when booking.
For transport and transfers, the customer types a departure and destination with Google Maps autocomplete, or picks predefined points, can add stops and sees the route on a map inside your site. The cost is calculated by distance. Emails to customers and staff are customizable, there are reminders and SMTP settings to avoid spam, and SMS reminders go through Twilio. You can sync with Google Calendar in both directions, use iCal feeds with Apple Calendar or Outlook, and export to CSV.
Is Calendarista Premium enough, or do you need something more specialized?
Think of it as a general-purpose booking engine: it covers many business models, but it does not replace management software built for a single sector. Direct online payments are with Stripe and PayPal; paying with WooCommerce requires WooCommerce to be installed. You can also collect payment offline or accept bookings without payment, decided service by service. If you rely on SMS, you also need a Twilio account.
Does it work for car rental or transfers?
Yes: there is round-trip booking with pickup and return date and time, departure and destination with Google Maps, and cost calculation by distance.
Can my staff manage appointments?
You can add staff members who manage appointments, and mark holidays to block days.
Can it be translated into several languages?
It is compatible with WPML and Polylang.
Can customers cancel?
Yes, with a time limit.
