About Chauffeur Booking System for WordPress
Transfer bookings with the price worked out before you confirm
The hard part of selling transfers online is not the form, it is the price. An airport run does not cost the same at three in the afternoon as at five in the morning, nor with two suitcases as with six, nor if the car has to come forty kilometres from base to collect the passenger. Chauffeur Booking System works all of that out through Google Maps before the customer confirms, so the number they see is the number you charge.
It is built for taxi firms, limousine services, airport transfers and chauffeur hire, which is where those rules pile up.
Three ways to price a job
- By distance, point to point, with as many intermediate stops as needed and their waiting time.
- By the hour, priced on the length of the booking.
- Flat rate for fixed routes that repeat.
Rules stack on top of those bases: an initial charge, cost per kilometre and per minute, a fee per stop, adult and child rates, and a luggage supplement. Rules can be conditioned by vehicle, service type, area, date and time or distance, which is how a night surcharge or a peak-season rate gets applied.
The calculations almost nobody gets right
Two details separate a system that works from one that loses money:
The whole journey, not just the fare. Availability accounts for the time from base to pickup and back again, not only the leg the customer pays for. Without that you end up accepting two bookings that overlap because, on paper, they fitted.
Hand-drawn geographic zones. A polygon tool lets you mark areas on the map and give them their own prices or restrictions. That is what lets you charge differently for entering the old town, or refuse to cover a certain area at all.
It also calculates tolls per vehicle, and delivery and return fees based on how far base sits from the pickup point.
Fleet and extras
It supports an unlimited number of vehicles, each with its own attributes, passenger and luggage capacity, photo gallery and rates. Availability is configured per vehicle, with excluded dates and time buffers between jobs.
Unlimited extras can be added to a booking: child seats, packages, individual services, each with its own quantity limit, price and tax rate, and available only under the conditions you decide.
Payment and notifications
It integrates with PayPal, Stripe and the WooCommerce gateways, plus cash, bank transfer and card on pickup. It supports partial payment as a deposit, discount coupons with usage limits, and gratuities, either fixed or as a percentage.
Notifications go out by email, by SMS through Vonage or Twilio, and by Telegram, to both customer and driver, with reminders before and after the job.
Drivers and calendar
Drivers are assigned manually or automatically, with a notification to whoever gets the job. There is a booking calendar with a monthly view and filters, and Google Calendar sync so the driver sees it on their own phone.
