About Classico – Theater Responsive WordPress Theme

A theater performance expires: a seat that doesn't sell before the curtain goes up can't be recovered the next day. That's why a venue's website has to answer three questions right away: what's on, when, and how to buy a ticket. Too many theater sites bury that behind a homepage full of pretty photos.

Classico puts the performance and the ticket button first

The demo homepage opens with the season's play and a ticket-buying button. Next come an upcoming events block and a welcome message about the season. It's the logical order: what expires goes on top and the company's story goes below.

  • Ticket buttons in the homepage header and in the events block.
  • Introduction block to tell visitors who the company is and who runs it.
  • Artistic team with the photo, name and role of each person, plus a link to see the full team.

News, courses and newsletter: what keeps the house alive between openings

A theater rarely lives on box office alone. The Classico demo reflects this with a news section for premieres, tours and appointments, and an education block with its own menu: courses for community organizations, adults, teachers and teens, plus leadership and oratory classes. If your venue runs workshops, that structure saves you from inventing one.

The footer brings together the newsletter signup form, opening hours, address, email, phone and icons for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Soundcloud. That way, someone who arrives through a news story can sign up or find out when you open without searching further.

Gallery and blog to show the company's work

The demo menu includes a gallery page and a blog page, as well as a contact page. Use the gallery for photos of productions and rehearsals, and the blog for reviews, interviews or season notes.

Everything you see in the demo (play titles, team, texts, theater figures, hours and address) is sample content. You replace it with your own before publishing.

Decide whether Classico is enough for your venue or you need a separate ticketing system

Classico is a presentation theme: it organizes information and leads the visitor toward buying. What happens next depends on what you connect to those buttons.

Does it handle ticket sales on its own?

The homepage has purchase buttons, but a theme normally doesn't take payments or control capacity. Check in the demo where those buttons lead. If you need seat selection, capacity control or online payment, connect a ticketing service or a dedicated plugin.

Does it include a performance calendar?

The demo shows an upcoming events block on the homepage. If your schedule is long and has many dates per play, check whether that block is enough or whether you need a calendar plugin.

Is it suitable for anything other than theater?

Its structure can be adapted to a concert hall, a dance company or a performing arts school. But the sections and tone of the demo are designed for theater, so you would have to rewrite quite a lot in other sectors.

Does the demo content stay?

No: plays, team, hours and address are sample content and you replace them with those of your theater.
