Twenty fields on one screen: how a lead gets lost
Anyone landing on a long form sizes it up at a glance: if they see an endless column of fields, they weigh the effort and leave. Contact Form 7 Multi-Step Pro splits that form into steps with a progress bar, so each screen asks for little and the visitor sees how much is left.
The long form usually exists because your team needs that data to reply properly, not because the customer wants to give it. Splitting it does not reduce what you ask, it reduces what seems to be asked. It helps to order the steps from the easy (name, email) to the harder (details, files).
Contact Form 7 Multi-Step Pro inside: steps, progress and remembered answers
The plugin builds on the form you already have in Contact Form 7 and adds this layer:
- Unlimited steps: each step is marked with a tag you insert into the form with one click.
- Buttons per step: you can customize the button on each step.
- Progress bar: with several styles, colors, a percentage and a live preview. If submission fails, the step with the error is marked with an icon.
- Recall tag: shows the visitor's earlier answers in later steps, useful for a summary before sending.
There are also details that prevent frustration: the page scrolls to the top of the form when pressing Next or Back, jumps to the first validation error, focuses the first field and returns to step 1 after a successful submission. Colors adapt to your theme and it is compatible with Contact Form 7 Database.

It only works on top of Contact Form 7
Without Contact Form 7 installed and active it does nothing: it is not a standalone form builder. Nor does it fix a badly thought-out form: if you ask for data you don't need, you will still lose people, just more slowly. Check in the demo how the progress bar looks with your site's design.
