About Crems – Bakery, Chocolate Sweets & Pastry WordPress Theme

A cake shop does not sell a catalogue, it sells a date

It is the difference almost no shop in the sector handles well. The customer is not buying a cake, they are buying Saturday's cake at six. And the bakery cannot make thirty cakes on the same day. If the website does not capture the collection date or cap how many orders come in per day, all of that ends in phone calls and the occasional upset.

Crems is a WordPress theme for cake shops, bakeries, chocolatiers and sweet shops, with the presentation handled and the shop ready.

What it brings

  • Several homepages with the sector's aesthetic and careful typography, which with indulgence products matters more than elsewhere.
  • Product galleries, because here the photograph is the entire sales argument.
  • A shop with WooCommerce, with cart, catalogue and order pages.
  • Testimonials and contact, with Contact Form 7 and Mailchimp for the newsletter.
  • Editing with Elementor and one-click demo import, plus WPML compatibility.

What has to be built on top

The collection or delivery date. This comes first. It gets solved with an order date plugin or with product fields, and is worth deciding while building the shop. Without it, the online shop generates work rather than saving it.

The daily order cap. A bakery has finite capacity. Selling ten cakes for the same Sunday when only four can be made is worse than selling none.

Food information. Ingredients and allergens are mandatory when selling food, and in patisserie they are especially sensitive: nuts, gluten, egg, dairy. It gets configured product by product and is the seller's responsibility.

And a business decision before a website one

Worth separating what ships from what gets collected. Chocolates, biscuits and preserves travel well and can be sold nationwide. A cream cake cannot. Building the shop with both mixed together confuses the customer and generates orders that cannot be fulfilled.
