About Curantis – Medical Care and Nursing WordPress

For the care home or clinic that needs to present itself well, not for anyone looking for an appointment system

People looking for a care home, a dental clinic or a medical practice usually do it in a hurry and with worry, and often they are not the patient: it is the son or daughter deciding for a relative. That person wants to know, from their phone, which services are offered, where the centre is and how to call. If the website does not say so at first glance, they move on to the next one.

Curantis is a theme designed for that kind of shop window: medical centres, dentists, general practitioners, hospitals and health care services, including elderly care. It can also be adapted to other uses, but its strength is the healthcare sector.

It is a presentation theme: it does not include online appointment booking or private patient areas. If you need them, you will have to add another plugin. And if your form is going to collect health data, check the data protection requirements before asking for it.

Curantis and its home pages for each type of centre

It comes with several home page layouts and ready-made page templates, with one-click demo installation. That lets you start from a complete website and replace the texts with your own instead of starting from scratch. Customisation options include:

  • Unlimited colours and skins, to match your centre's identity.
  • Extensive typography options.
  • A flexible coming soon page, useful while you finish the site.
  • A customisable 404 page and a preloader.
  • Export and import of the theme settings as a backup.
  • A child theme included, so you can edit code without losing your changes.

WPBakery, Contact Form 7 and The Grid: what you build with each piece

Curantis is compatible with Gutenberg and WPBakery Page Builder. With WPBakery you lay out pages by dragging blocks and control how each section adapts to tablet and mobile.

For contact it works with Contact Form 7: you can manage several forms, customise the email you receive and enable Ajax submission, CAPTCHA and Akismet spam filtering. It is also compatible with Google Maps, essential so people can find your centre.

The Grid displays blog posts or other content types in a responsive grid, for example centre news or your team. There are also widgets for the Twitter feed, the Instagram feed and social icons, plus a sidebar widget area.

The demo photos do not come with it

The images you see in the demo can only be used in the demo. You will have to upload your own. In healthcare it pays off: real photos of the team and the facilities build more closeness than any generic image, and it is the first thing a family looks at when choosing.

Frequently asked questions about Curantis

Can I use it for a care home for the elderly?

Yes, its focus is health and care, and it is designed for health care centres. Browse the demos and check that one of the home pages fits your services before deciding.

Do I need WPBakery Page Builder?

It is compatible with both WPBakery and Gutenberg, so you can choose which one to work with.

Does it look good on mobile?

It is fully responsive and retina ready, so the design adapts to tablets and phones.

Can I book appointments from the website?

No. Curantis offers contact forms, not a booking system. For online appointments you would need a separate plugin.
