About Custom Facebook Feed Pro By Smash Balloon

If your business already lives on Facebook and your website keeps falling behind

Keeping a website up to date and a Facebook page at the same time often ends with one of them abandoned: the page moves every week while the website has had the same homepage for months. This plugin is for people who already post on Facebook regularly (a restaurant, a sports club, a local shop, an association) and want those posts to appear on their WordPress site on their own, without writing them twice.

It is not for anyone who hardly posts on Facebook: the feed reflects what is on your page, so if the page is idle, the website will be too. Nor is it for those who want to show content from other networks: this plugin works with Facebook. Smash Balloon's other networks are separate products.

Custom Facebook Feed Pro: from a Facebook post to your website with no extra steps

You connect your page, choose the layout and embed the feed wherever you want. Every time you post on Facebook, the entry shows up on your site. For anyone without time to maintain a blog, it is a way to have news visible without writing anything extra. The text of the posts and the comments are embedded in your website.

You can show several types of content and decide which ones are visible:

  • Statuses, photos, videos, links, events, albums and playlists from your page.
  • Just one type if you prefer: for example, only events or only photos.
  • Full-screen HD video, 360-degree video and live broadcasts inside the feed.

Several feeds, each with its own look

You can have a photo feed on one page and an events feed on another, or show feeds from different Facebook pages on the same site, customizing each one separately. For a business with several locations or a website with distinct sections, this avoids a single generic block repeated everywhere.

Within each feed you control which parts of the post are shown or hidden, so you can go from something minimalist to a full view. There are also filters by word or hashtag, to show only the posts that contain them or, the other way round, hide them. This is useful if your page mixes internal notices with content you do want to show. It includes infinite loading to keep showing more posts, plus ready-made feed templates and themes you can import and then adjust the design, headers, buttons or post style.

What happens with speed, mobile and privacy

A social media feed can slow a site down because of external requests. This plugin is designed to reduce that impact and picks the most suitable image size instead of loading huge files. It is responsive and inherits your theme's styles, so it usually looks integrated without extra work.

If Facebook has a problem, a backup cache system keeps showing your posts, and you get alerts in the admin and in the site health check when something prevents the feed from updating. It integrates with several cookie consent plugins and, when enabled, shows a version of the feed with no third-party requests. That helps, but setting up consent on your website is still up to you.

Where you can place it and in which language

It is embedded with an Elementor widget, a Gutenberg block, a WordPress widget or a shortcode. It is translated and you can choose the Facebook language and manually change any text in the feed.

Before deciding, try the demo with your own posts and check how your real photos and texts look.
