About Delivery Drivers for Vendors Premium

When every vendor delivers their own orders and you can't see any of it

In a marketplace with vendor-run delivery, each vendor has their own drivers, orders and deadlines. If everything goes through the store administrator, you end up assigning drivers by hand, answering "who is delivering my order?" messages and mediating something that isn't yours. This plugin moves that management to the vendor.

Here is the underlying idea: in a marketplace, the bottleneck is rarely the catalog, but each shop's logistics. A vendor who doesn't control who delivers their orders depends on you for every incident, and that doesn't scale as more vendors join.

What each vendor can do with Delivery Drivers for Vendors

Each vendor gets their own dashboard to manage their drivers and orders, without touching other vendors' data.

  • Driver management: they see the information of all their drivers, who is active, who is available and who has permission to claim orders. Each status changes with one click.
  • Summary dashboard: shows how many orders each driver has in each status, how many orders have no driver and how many are ready to be claimed.
  • Bulk assignment: they can assign drivers to several orders at once and update their statuses in one go.
  • Order filters: they quickly find what they need as volume grows.
  • Order details: they check billing address, shipping address, items and the rest of the data, and update the delivery status from there.
  • Routes, reports and commissions: the vendor can review them for their own drivers.

It's an add-on, not a standalone plugin

It doesn't work on its own. It requires WooCommerce, the Local Delivery Drivers for WooCommerce plugin in its Premium version, and one of these multivendor plugins: Dokan, WCFM or WCMP. If your marketplace uses another one, it is not compatible as stated. Nor does it replace that base plugin: it adds the layer so vendors can use it on their own.

Questions asked by people building a marketplace with delivery

Does it work for a store with a single vendor?

It's designed for marketplaces with several vendors. If you only have your own store, the base driver plugin is what you need.

Which marketplace plugins does it support?

Dokan, WCFM and WCMP. You need one of them active.

Can vendors see other vendors' drivers?

The approach is that each vendor manages their own drivers and orders. Test with two vendors to check that the separation is what you expect.

Can I assign many orders at once?

Yes, the vendor can assign drivers and change statuses in bulk.

What happens to the administrator's workload

By giving vendors autonomy, you stop being the center of every delivery. That frees you up, but it also means you must explain to each vendor how to add their drivers and when to mark them as available. A clear dashboard is useless if nobody uses it.

Dependencies to install before this plugin

The practical order: first WooCommerce and your multivendor plugin working with real vendors, then the base driver plugin, and finally this add-on. Run a test with a sample vendor, a driver and an order: assign it, change its status and check that the vendor sees what they should in their dashboard. That way you spot any missing permission or setting in your marketplace before opening to the public.
