About Directorist Helpgent Integration
A directory without conversation stays a list of data
People browsing a directory rarely decide from a business listing alone: a question comes up, they want to see something specific, or they would rather explain themselves by voice. If the only route is a generic form or an email nobody knows is being read, that question goes unanswered and the person moves on to the next result. Directorist Helpgent Integration connects Directorist with HelpGent so that contact with listing owners happens inside the directory itself.
Video, audio, text and screen sharing in one place
The integration brings together several message formats, so each person can use whichever suits them best:
- Video messages: useful for explaining something that gets long or misunderstood in text.
- Audio and text: for quick questions or for asking owners for feedback on their listings.
- Screen recording and sharing: helps you show a problem or a specific step instead of describing it.
What matters is that communication does not require both sides to be online at the same time: each party replies when they can, which reduces friction for whoever runs the directory and for whoever writes in.
Per-listing forms and an inbox you can sort
Listing owners can create forms so the public can contact them more directly, and you can manage several forms tied to listings, with no limit on how many. Each form also lets you track what comes in.
Once conversations pile up, managing them weighs more than sending them. That is why it helps to search by text, video or voice, find conversations by name or email, and mark messages as unread to reply later. If you need visual consistency, you can adjust the color and font size, and every interaction from a listing owner triggers an email notification.
What you need and how to decide if it fits
This is an add-on, not a standalone system: it needs both Directorist and HelpGent installed, and what it really delivers is chat and messaging inside a directory that is already built. If your directory barely receives inquiries, or you prefer all contact to go through classic email, it will not add much. If your business depends on visitors and owners understanding each other quickly, it will. Check in the demo how the form looks and how the conversation inbox is laid out before deciding.
Does it work without HelpGent?
No. It is an integration between Directorist and HelpGent, so you need both.
Can I limit the number of forms?
There is no need: you can create as many forms as you need.
Can I adapt it to my brand image?

Does it notify me when someone writes?
Yes, there are email notifications for every interaction from listing owners.
