What the official Divi licence covers

The official builder updates, Elegant Themes' support and activation against their servers, which is what switches on the hosted side of the product. The GPLClub team leaves the activation ready on your domain.

What Divi does

• A library of more than 2,600 layouts to start from instead of a blank page.

When it pays

If you maintain several sites. It is the case it was designed for: the more the work repeats, the more having the library and the panel centralised shows.

If the site is your daily working tool. An outdated builder is the single point of failure for everything built on top, and with Divi that includes the whole site's design.

About licensing and the GPL

Divi's code is distributed under the GPL licence and its use is free. The cloud, the management panel, the artificial intelligence tools, the support and the automatic updates are the maker's services and get contracted with them. They are not the same thing, and buying one is not buying the other.
