The worst thing about this product is its name

Worth saying first because it is what stops the people who need it from finding it and makes the people who buy it expect something else.

DiviMenus sounds like a navigation menu plugin. It is not, and the author says so plainly: it does not render WordPress menus. If what you are after is improving your site's header and main menu, this is not the product.

What it actually is: a Divi module for building groups of interactive elements with a great deal of control. And from there, the list of uses opens up.

What it genuinely gets used for

• Floating buttons and calls to action that follow the visitor.
• Element grids with their own design.
• Buttons inside an image or a video, overlaid wherever you decide.
• A social sharing tool.
• A filter that shows and hides page elements without reloading.
• Popups and banners.

The two features that justify buying it

Out of that long list, two solve problems that genuinely cost effort in Divi.

The show and hide filter. Being able to put three buttons at the top that filter what sits below, without reloading, is what turns a long services or projects page into something navigable. Building it by hand in Divi means writing code; here it is configuration.

Interactive hotspots over an image. Placing buttons on top of a photograph, at specific coordinates, opens a case that in other contexts gets sold as a separate product: a floor plan with points per zone, a living room photograph with the furniture linked, a technical diagram with an explanation per part.

If neither of those sounds like something you need, Divi's standard module is probably plenty.

Two warnings about popups

Since the product also builds them, worth saying what hardly anybody says.

Google penalises intrusive interstitials on mobile. A window covering the content the moment somebody arrives, on a phone, is expressly flagged as bad practice and affects rankings. The exceptions are legally required notices, such as cookies or age verification.

The popup that works is the one appearing on intent. On exit, at the end of the article, on clicking something. The one that jumps out three seconds after arrival annoys everybody and converts worse, as well as exposing you to the above.

It needs WordPress and Divi. It is a builder module and does not work outside it.

Alternatives in the catalogue
