Whoever hires drone photography or video decides by looking at your work, and they look at it on their phone between two meetings. The problem is that the most spectacular shots are the heaviest, and a portfolio that is slow or misaligned on a small screen ruins exactly the material that sells you. Dronza starts from there: it is a theme designed to put aerial photography and video at the center of the page.
It has a mobile-friendly design, a parallax effect, a menu that stays fixed as you scroll and a sidebar option on the left or right. That said, no theme makes a huge video lighter for you: watch the size of what you upload.
Dronza gives you four homepages so you don't start from a blank page
It includes four pre-made homepages and a one-click site import, so you start from a site that is already built and adapt it to your work. It is edited with Elementor and adds theme options to adjust the look, Google Fonts typefaces and its own widgets.
It is built on these pieces:
- Elementor, to lay out the pages.
- Advanced Custom Fields, for custom fields.
- Slider Revolution, for sliders and homepages with movement.
- WooCommerce, for the shop.
Form, newsletter and shop: what connects and what you install separately
The WooCommerce design is integrated, so the catalog, cart and product page don't clash with the rest of the site. To get in touch with clients, the theme integrates with Contact Form 7 (you build the form with that plugin) and with MailChimp for the newsletter. It is also ready for translation and its code is W3C validated.
People who work with drones usually need three things on the same website: showing a portfolio, receiving inquiries and, sometimes, selling something. Here all three have a place without changing theme.
Dronza or a theme built for blocks? Decide before importing the demo
Dronza is built around Elementor and is not optimized for Gutenberg. If you prefer to work only with blocks, another theme will suit you better. And for the demo to look the same you need the plugins it relies on: the demo images are for illustration only and are not included, so you will have to add your own material.
Do I need Elementor?
Yes, the pages and homepages are designed to be edited with it.
Do the demo photos and videos come with it?
No. They are only illustrative, you will have to upload your own shots.
Is it useful if I don't do drone photography?
Yes, it also fits photography in general, video, galleries, blogs or a creative agency, although its visual approach revolves around images and video.
Can I sell with it?
Yes, it has a design integrated for WooCommerce, but the shop itself requires that plugin to be installed.
