About Easy Booking PRO
Renting without building a separate booking system
There are two routes to renting online. One is installing a complete booking system, with its calendar, its customers and its screens, living alongside your shop. The other is for the thing you rent to remain an ordinary WooCommerce product, with the only addition being the dates.
Easy Booking takes the second route, and that is its advantage: the rental goes through the usual cart, with your coupons, your taxes, your payment methods and your sales reports. Nothing lives separately.
What this version adds
- Stock by date, for controlling how many units are free on each specific day.
- Blocked dates, for closing seasons, holidays or maintenance days.
- Pricing by duration, with a different rate for the week than for the weekend.
- Pricing by date, for charging more in high season.
- Manual bookings, for the customer who phones.
Why stock by date is the important part
It is the feature separating this from a simple date field on the product.
If you have four bicycles, WooCommerce knows there are four, but it does not know that three are hired out on Saturday and one on Sunday. Without control by date you end up renting the same bicycle twice on the same day, and that gets resolved by phone and with an apology.
With stock by date, each day has its own count and the calendar stops offering what is not there.
What to know
It is an extension. It needs the Easy Booking plugin installed, which is what adds the date picker to the product. This version adds stock control, variable pricing and manual bookings on top.
And one consequence of its approach worth weighing: because these are WooCommerce products, you have no practitioner diary and no synchronisation with external calendars. For renting things (equipment, vehicles, materials, spaces) it fits very well. For giving appointments with people, a proper booking system fits better.
