About Edwiser Bridge - WordPress Moodle LMS Integration
When the course is taught in one place and sold in another
Moodle is very good at teaching and rather weak at selling. That is why many people build a WordPress site to attract students and end up with a thankless manual job: you take the payment, copy the buyer's email, create their Moodle user, add them to the right course and hope you did not get it wrong.
Edwiser Bridge is the bridge between the two platforms. Your catalog and storefront live in WordPress, the classroom stays in Moodle, and the plugin makes sure that what happens in one reaches the other. The part of the business that almost nobody watches is the gap between payment and access: every hour a student waits for their credentials is an hour to regret the purchase or to write to you asking about it. Closing that gap is what really justifies this plugin.
What Edwiser Bridge syncs, and what it does not touch
- Course import: you bring your Moodle courses into WordPress so you can show and sell them from your website, without describing them from scratch somewhere else.
- Automatic user registration: whoever buys is signed up in your LMS without you stepping in.
- Enrollment management: access to the course is assigned according to what was purchased.
- Data synchronization: user and course information between Moodle and WordPress is kept up to date automatically.
- Payment gateways: you can sell with a gateway available in your country, useful if your students are spread around the world.
Now the limits. Edwiser Bridge does not replace Moodle: you need a working Moodle, and content, quizzes and grades are still managed there. It is also not a theme or a page builder: the design of your sales site depends on your WordPress theme. And if you are looking for specific features such as single sign-on between the two platforms, selective sync or bulk purchases for companies, check in the demo whether they come with what you install, because you should not take them for granted.
Frequently asked questions before connecting Moodle and WordPress
Do I need a Moodle site already running?
Yes. The plugin connects a WordPress site to an existing Moodle; it does not create the LMS for you.
Do I have to duplicate the courses by hand in WordPress?
No. They are imported from Moodle, so the catalog starts from what you already have.
Is only the student who buys enrolled?
That is the plugin's purpose: to register the user in the LMS and manage their enrollment automatically after the purchase. Make a test purchase in your environment before opening sales.
Does it work if I sell outside my country?
You can charge with a payment gateway supported in your country. What you need to check is that this gateway covers the countries of your students.
Who it makes sense for, and who does not need it
It suits academies, independent trainers and training teams that already teach in Moodle and want a commercial website with more freedom than the LMS front page. If you have not yet decided which platform to use, or if you have few courses and enroll people yourself by email, the plugin will give you little. If, on the other hand, every sale forces you to repeat the same steps in two systems, that is where you will notice it.
Import the courses first and sell afterwards
The order of work matters. First get Moodle ready: published courses, reviewed descriptions and a stable structure. Then connect WordPress and import the catalog, and only then set up the payment gateway and the sales pages. Before launching, run a complete test purchase: payment, user creation, enrollment and access to the classroom. If something fails, you will see it and not your first customer.
