About Enlazatom
The search work everybody knows how to do and nobody does
Linking articles to each other. It is one of the few things in search that depends on nobody else: you control it entirely, it helps Google understand what each page is about, and it sends the reader to the next piece rather than back to the search box.
And it does not get done. Because with fifty articles it is already awkward and with five hundred it is impossible: every time you publish you should go back to the earlier ones to link the new piece, and nobody does that.
Enlazatom automates that part. Configured once, it creates internal links inside the text, which are the ones with most value because they come surrounded by context.
How it works
- By keyword, category or tag, according to how your content is organised.
- With a link limit per article, for controlling how many appear.
- Adjustable in position and appearance, so they fit the site's design.
- With a pre-built index, so the link is already calculated when somebody loads the page and speed is not penalised.
It works with any theme, with pages and posts, and with WooCommerce products.
The three rules for this to add rather than subtract
Badly tuned automatic linking does more harm than none at all, so it is worth setting limits from the start.
Few links per article. A text peppered with blue links reads worse and spreads its strength across so many destinations that none of them receive it. Three or four well placed are worth more than fifteen.
The link has to make sense to the reader. The criterion is not whether the word matches, it is whether clicking there helps them. A link leading somewhere irrelevant teaches the reader not to click again.
Review what it generated. Not daily, but at the start and periodically. Open five articles and look at what it linked. That is where you spot the overly generic keyword sending half the site to the same place.
Frequently asked questions
Does it link WooCommerce products too?
Yes, as well as pages and posts.
Does it slow the site down?
It should not: the links are calculated in a pre-built index rather than processed on each visit.
Can I control how many links it places?
Yes, the quantity per piece is limited, and doing so from the start is advisable.
Does it work with many articles already published?
Yes, it is designed precisely for large archives that would be unfeasible to link by hand.
