About Evenex Event Conference WordPress Theme
A conference is sold in weeks and forgotten in days
Organizing a congress, a festival or a virtual conference often ends with a website made in a hurry: the schedule as an image, the speakers in a PDF and the location buried in a paragraph. Evenex is a WordPress theme designed for that kind of event, built on Elementor, and it treats the website as a working tool rather than a brochure.
An event has one particular trait: the date, the room or the speaker can change until the last moment. That is why being able to fix the site without touching code matters more than how nice it looks on day one.
Evenex and how it builds schedules, speakers and search
The theme uses Elementor as its page builder and adds its own event widgets: an event slider, an event search and a schedule widget. It also includes templates for the individual speaker page and for each event, with date, description and location.
- Advanced Ajax search: visitors search events and see them in grid or list view. Useful if you run several events at once.
- Header and footer builder, and mega menu: to build the navigation of a long programme without relying on a single flat menu.
- Customizer with switchable options: you can turn off what you don't use so the site isn't loaded with unneeded features.
- Visual elements: parallax sections, smooth animations, Google Fonts, Font Awesome and line icons.
- Bundled plugins: ElementsKit for more widgets, MetForm for contact forms, WP Fundraising for donations and WP Social for login and social buttons.
What to know before choosing it
The theme maintains compatibility with the Eventin plugin and with custom fields (Advanced Custom Fields Pro and Devmonsta). Evenex is not a ticket-selling platform by itself: if you need to charge for access, check in the demo exactly what the registration flow does and which part requires another plugin. The range of home layouts is not huge either (five home pages, five menu styles and a single footer style), with variants for multi-event and a dark version.
Questions event organizers ask
Does it work for a virtual event?
Yes, it is designed for conferences, parties, festivals and virtual conferences. The site shows the schedule, speakers and location; the broadcast itself you will have to handle with your own tool.
Can I manage several events?
Yes, there is a home page designed for multi-event and an advanced search. Check in the demo how past and upcoming events are sorted.
Do I need to know how to code?
Not for the usual work: it is edited with Elementor and the customizer. A deep structural change will need help.
Is there a shop or donations?
It includes WP Fundraising for donations and crowdfunding. For a full shop, the theme has fixed WooCommerce pages in the past, but it is not its main focus.
What it offers in design and performance
The design is clean, responsive on mobile and tested in the usual browsers. It includes a Swiper slider, Google Maps that are easy to set up and a contact form with validation. Since you can turn features off, you can keep only what your event needs.
The demo pages are imported with an import plugin
To replicate the demo, the theme uses a one-click import plugin and ships with a child theme. Before importing, prepare a clean installation and check that Elementor, ElementsKit, Eventin and the custom fields are active. Afterwards, replace the sample texts, dates and speakers with your own and review a full event page and a speaker page.
