An online magazine lives on how many articles each visit reads
Building a blog or a news site often ends in a homepage that attracts clicks and an article the reader leaves without viewing anything else. If your site is funded by advertising or affiliate income, design is not decoration: it decides whether people read one text or five before closing the tab.
FinMag is a magazine and news theme built for that: it loads more posts without reloading the page, links related content and lets you adjust every part of the homepage from a panel.
What FinMag does for the reader and for you
- Ajax loading: in homepage blocks and categories, more posts are requested without refreshing, and inside an article reading continues with autoload as you scroll.
- Smart sticky menu: three options. It appears only when you scroll up (useful on mobile to gain screen space), stays fixed all the time, or is disabled.
- Options panel: styles, typography, colors, category layouts and sidebars, without touching CSS or HTML.
- Reading data: views, reading time, related posts, breadcrumbs and a social counter.
- Dark mode and a responsive design, with graphics ready for high-resolution screens.
- Listings as list or grid in 2, 3 or 4 columns, with variations for the homepage, categories and posts.
Three ways to use FinMag depending on your site
If you are starting a blog on your own
You import the homepage demos with one click and adjust colors and fonts from the panel. You avoid building the homepage from scratch, and a child theme is included for your own changes.
If you earn from ads or affiliates
With Elementor you place ad spaces wherever you want, and the theme adds its own news blocks for that editor. To collect subscribers you can use its Mailchimp form.
If you publish in another language
It is compatible with WPML and includes an RTL version, so it works for multilingual sites or languages read from right to left. It also supports WooCommerce, in case you want to add a small shop to your magazine.
Questions before choosing FinMag
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Demos are imported with one click and the options panel covers the usual design changes.
Does it work if my topic is not news?
Yes, as long as it is a magazine or a blog: sports, fashion, tech, travel, health, yoga, politics or videos are examples of its audience.
Does it look good on mobile?
It adapts to desktop, tablet and mobile, and the sticky menu has a mode designed not to cover the small screen.
Does it have dark mode?
Yes, it is included.
Ads and news blocks need Elementor
Ad spaces are placed with the Elementor editor, and the theme's own news blocks are for that same editor. The theme does not come with an ad network: you provide the ad code. The form needs your Mailchimp account and WPML is a separate plugin. Before deciding, check in the demo that the homepage you have in mind resembles one of the variations.
