About Firbrigs – Fire Department WordPress Theme

A fire department website works when there is no fire

Building a fire station website often ends in a contact page with a phone number and little else, or in a generic business template that does not fit the uniform. But there is a deeper problem: an emergency service website is not used during the emergency, it is used the rest of the year. It is where neighbours read how to prevent a fire at home, where applicants find out how to join the department, and where people see how the team spends its time.

Firbrigs is a WordPress theme designed for that daily work: fire fighting and rescue services, emergency medical services, prevention programs, fire investigation, firefighter careers, operational videos and staff biographies.

How a Firbrigs website is built with Elementor

The theme relies on the Elementor page builder: you edit pages by dragging and dropping, and you see changes instantly. It comes with predefined layouts and its own Elementor addons, so you do not start from a blank page.

  • Two different home pages, with room for services, about, gallery, contact, blog and the team's firefighters section.
  • More than 10 inner page blocks, which you can combine and adapt to what you need to tell.
  • Demo content imported from the admin panel, so you replace texts and images on pages that are already designed.
  • Theme options with Redux, to adjust general settings without touching code.
  • Contact Form 7 compatibility to create the forms you want.

It is also responsive, widget ready and tested on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera, which matters when the person visiting from a phone is a neighbour in a hurry to find one piece of information.

Three websites that fit Firbrigs

Volunteer fire station or department

Your website has to convince people to sign up. The home page with a team section, the gallery and the blog for telling about call-outs, training and station life help applicants see who is behind it. A Contact Form 7 form can collect expressions of interest.

Prevention and training program

If your work is teaching (fire prevention, safety tips, operational videos), the blog and the inner page blocks help you organise content by topic without inventing a structure from scratch.

Security or emergency supply company

The theme is also meant for rescue, security or emergency equipment businesses. It works for presenting services and getting in touch, though not for selling online (see the last section).

Frequently asked questions about Firbrigs

Do I need Elementor to use it?

In practice, yes: the theme's layouts and addons are designed to be edited with Elementor.

Can I start from the demo content?

Yes. You import it from the panel and replace the texts and images with your own.

Can I receive volunteer applications or reports from citizens?

You can create forms with Contact Form 7 and receive the messages. It is not an application management system or an alert system.

Is it only for fire departments?

It is aimed at fire and rescue, but also at security, emergency supplies and fire station services. For another sector, a theme designed for it is a better choice.

No shop, no alerts and no Gutenberg optimisation

Firbrigs is not optimised for the Gutenberg block editor: content is built with Elementor. It is a presentation theme and does not include a shop or real-time alerts; if you want to sell equipment, you will need to add a separate commerce plugin. And however well you look after the website, always keep the emergency phone number clearly visible: nobody should depend on a web page in an emergency.
