About Flow Flow – WordPress Social Stream Plugin

Your brand talks on many networks and your website shows none of them

You have customer photos on Instagram, videos on YouTube, mentions on X and posts on Facebook, and your website still carries three text testimonials that you wrote yourself. Installing one plugin per network leaves you with mismatched styles and several things to maintain.

Flow Flow gathers the posts, photos and videos from 12 networks, plus WordPress itself and RSS (more than 40 feed types in total), into a single wall, gallery or widget with a unified design. If you only need one network, it works too: you manage everything from a single panel.

A hashtag wall on a campaign landing page, step by step

Imagine you launch a campaign with a hashtag and want the page to show what people are posting. Here is how it goes:

  • Connect the sources. Facebook, Instagram and Foursquare connect with one click. Instagram can be read by username, hashtag or location; YouTube by channel, search or public playlist. You can mix it with your blog posts or an RSS feed.
  • Filter before publishing. A public hashtag brings in whatever anyone writes, spam and trolls included. You can exclude posts by word, by username or by URL.
  • Design the cards. Change colors, start from a preset or build your own card design. Visitors get a search bar and sorting, share buttons and a lightbox gallery; on mobile it swipes with a finger.
  • Place it. As a wall, gallery or widget. If you use WP Bakery Page Builder, there is a dedicated element to insert it.
  • Keep watch. The monitoring tools show the status of each connected feed, so you can spot which one fails.

The limit is in step one: Instagram is only read from public Business or Creator accounts, not from personal or private profiles. And moderation is not automatic: the wall is only as clean as the filters you set up.

Questions before building a social wall with Flow Flow

Can I show posts from another blog?

The WordPress source only reads your own site (posts, comments, custom post types or specific categories). Other blogs come in through RSS. The ATOM format is not supported.

Does it work for showing reviews?

It works for showing, as testimonials, what your customers post on the supported networks. It is not a review system: it does not generate ratings on its own.

Does it slow down the site if I mix many networks?

It uses server-side caching with a background task, so the wall does not request data from the networks on every visit. It is designed for when there are many sources or heavy traffic.

Is it an official product of the networks?

No. It is not affiliated with or sponsored by any of them; it is only authorized to access their APIs as a third party. Since those APIs change, check in the demo that the feed type you need is among those available.

Flow Flow keeps your keys on the server, not in the browser

The tokens, app IDs and app secrets of your connections stay on the server and never reach the visitor's browser. The plugin also does not store data about the people who visit your site.

It suits brands, agencies and content teams who want to highlight social activity on landing pages or campaign microsites, or bring several platforms together in one view. If all you want is one network with a couple of loose posts, you may not need this much.
