About FLOX – Personal Portfolio & Resume WordPress Theme
A portfolio is judged at a glance, and most are badly ordered
Someone visiting you to hire you rarely reads your whole story: they look for proof that you can do what they need, compare you with five other profiles and leave. The usual mistake is telling your career in chronological order when the visitor first wants to see work similar to theirs. FLOX is built for that: a portfolio and resume theme where experience, skills, works and services live together on a clean, organised website.
It suits freelancers, designers, developers, photographers, consultants, students or small studios that want a personal website without the complexity of a multipurpose theme.
What FLOX does with your resume and your work
The base is Elementor, so every section is edited visually. What matters most when deciding:
- Portfolio with filters: visitors can separate your works by category and see only what interests them.
- Skills section and counters: to show your level in each area and sum up your career with figures that you enter.
- Pricing section: useful if you sell services in packages and want to filter out the merely curious from the start.
- Design extras: font icons, Google Fonts, Google map, YouTube video background and a multi-level menu.
- Settings and structure: theme options panel, mobile-friendly responsive design, support for high-resolution screens and a child theme included.
It is worth knowing the limits before choosing it: the theme relies on the Unyson Framework and is designed to work with Elementor, not with the block editor (it is not optimized for Gutenberg). Forms are compatible with Contact Form 7, but you install that plugin separately. Nor is it a store: the pricing section displays rates, it does not take payments.
Common questions about FLOX
Does it work as an online resume? Yes, it has sections for experience, education, skills, awards and testimonials, so it can work as a one-page CV.
Can I set up a contact form? With Contact Form 7, which it is compatible with. You need to install it yourself.
Do I need to know Elementor? You don't have to be an expert, but you do have to use it: it is the tool for customising the sections.
Can I change the code without losing my edits? It includes a child theme, which is the right place for your code tweaks.
Three layout variations across six demos
It ships with six ready-to-use demos and three layout variations. That leaves room so a photographer and a consultant don't end up with the same website, even if the underlying structure is similar. If your profile mixes several disciplines, use the portfolio filters to separate them instead of opening several websites.
Choose the demo before importing anything
The theme includes a demo import option, but importing one demo on top of another mixes content and forces you to clean up. Decide first which one is closest to your case: look at how it organises the portfolio, whether its pricing section works for you and how it looks on mobile. Also install Elementor, Unyson and Contact Form 7 if you plan to use a form, and then replace the sample images with your own work. Check in the demo whether the menu and the filters behave the way you need with your number of projects.
