About Fluent Boards Pro

Why run projects inside WordPress

It is the question to answer before installing anything, because the project management tools out there are many and highly polished. There are two solid reasons, and if neither is yours, better to use one of those.

The first is the data. Everything lives on your server, in your database. If you work with client information you would rather not spread across third-party services, that stops being a preference and becomes a requirement.

The second is the connection. If your contact form, your mailing list and your support are already in WordPress, a board living right there can receive the task from the form without going through any bridge.

What it brings

  • Boards and lists with stages and dragging, in the free version.
  • Calendar and table, in the paid one, which is how dates actually get seen.
  • Recurring tasks and templates, for whatever repeats each month.
  • Dates, priority, labels, custom fields and time tracking.
  • Board duplication and project export and import.

With unlimited projects and people, permissions by role, email notifications, activity tracking and file sharing.

What the paid version adds

Reports and analytics, a front-end portal so a client can see the status without entering the admin, a public roadmap as an add-on, and external storage for files across several services, which is what stops the team's attachments filling the server disk.

What to weigh up honestly

It is not going to beat the specialist tools on polish after years of their refinement. If your team does not already live inside WordPress, they will not come: adoption dies in the first week and you end up with two places to look, which is worse than one bad one.

Where it fits well is agencies and teams whose ecosystem is already WordPress, projects with sensitive data, and anyone wanting to stop paying a monthly fee per person. And if you use the rest of the tools in the same family (forms, email, support), the native integration between them is the real argument.

Frequently asked questions

Does the data leave my server?
No. It is self-hosted and everything stays in your WordPress.

Can a client see it without entering the admin?
Yes, with the front-end portal in the paid version.

Is there a limit on projects or people?
No, both are unlimited.

Does it connect to forms or email?
Yes, natively with the other tools in its family, and with others through automatic notifications.
