About Foresty – Charity and Ecology WordPress Theme

An ecology website that asks for money but doesn't show where it goes loses donors

Building the website of an environmental nonprofit often ends with a pretty home page full of forest photos and a donation page that feels like paperwork. And that is exactly where people decide whether to give or not. Someone arriving at an ecology organization wants to see quickly what it does, on which projects and how they can get involved: donating, signing up as a volunteer or attending an event.

Foresty is designed for that journey: a charity and ecology website with activism and donation sections, and tags that place it in foundations, fundraising, volunteering and events. It comes with icons and vector graphics ready for retina screens.

Foresty is built with Elementor on five demos

The theme is built with Elementor, so you drag and drop blocks instead of touching code. It comes with five demos that import with one click, and that is the fastest way to see whether the structure fits your organization before changing anything.

  • Layout that adapts to mobile, tablet and desktop.
  • Child theme included, so you can customize without losing your changes when you touch the base theme.
  • Smooth transition effects and code based on Bootstrap, Animate CSS and WOW JS.
  • Detailed documentation to guide you through the setup.

If your team is not technical, the most useful part is the combination of importable demos and a visual editor: you can change texts, images and sections for a campaign without depending on a developer every time you launch a new action.

Gathering volunteers and subscribers, and translating the site into other languages

An environmental organization lives on lists: people who subscribe, volunteers who write in, members who receive news. Foresty includes integration with Contact Form 7 and Mailchimp forms, enough for a basic contact form and a newsletter.

It is also compatible with WooCommerce, useful if you want a small charity shop (t-shirts, bags, campaign products), and with WPML, built for multilingual sites. Both are separate plugins that you will have to install and configure yourself.

Is Foresty enough for your donation campaign or do you need something more?

Foresty gives you the design and sections of a charity website with a donation area. Before committing, open the demos and check how donation is presented and which part is design only. If you need to take card payments, recurring contributions or receipts, plan how you will solve that, because it usually depends on a separate payments plugin. Also don't expect a built-in system for managing members or events with registration.

Can I use it without knowing how to code?

Yes, it is edited with Elementor and you can start from one of the five importable demos. For fine design tweaks, the child theme protects your changes.

Does it work for a charity shop?

It is compatible with WooCommerce, so you can add a shop. You will need to install the plugin and set up products, shipping and payments.

Can I have the site in several languages?

It is compatible with WPML, but the translations and the plugin are on your side.

Is it only for ecology nonprofits?

Its design and tags point to ecology, charity, activism and foundations. For another kind of business you would have to adapt a lot of content.
