When the customer's yes cools off before the signature
Sending a contract as a PDF, waiting for someone to print it, sign it, scan it and send it back is the point where many deals go cold. The customer already said yes, but paper asks for extra effort and the paperwork sits in an inbox for days. Formidable Forms Digital Signatures Addon moves that step into the form itself: the person fills in their details, signs and submits, all on the same page and without a reload.
It matters most to anyone handling authorizations, consents, image releases, liability waivers or membership agreements.
Drawn signatures with Formidable Forms Digital Signatures Addon
The addon adds a signature field that you place with the drag and drop builder, next to the rest of your fields (name, date or whatever you need). The field works with a finger on a touchscreen, with the trackpad or with the mouse, which makes it natural for someone signing from a phone.
Since everything happens inside the form, you need no external signing tool and don't have to send the customer to another site.
The signature becomes an image you can show wherever you want
The field converts the signature into an image file that can be used in emails and messages. In addition, Formidable Views can display signed agreements, contracts or consent forms, so you can build a list of signed agreements.
You don't have to start from scratch: Formidable offers signature templates for cases such as medical releases, liability releases, image releases, contracts or rentals. Review the legal text of each one before using it with real customers.
Is this addon enough, or do you need Formidable's Business plan?
It is an add-on and doesn't work on its own: it needs Formidable Forms Pro, and the signature tools come with the Business plan or higher. What it provides is a signature field and its image; don't present it as a certified signature. If your sector requires a specific type of electronic signature, check with a professional, because the plugin doesn't guarantee any legal compliance by itself.
Can people sign from a phone?
Yes. The field works with touchscreens, trackpads and mice.
Can I receive the signature by email?
Yes, the signature is converted into an image that can be used in emails and messages.
Does it generate a PDF of the signed contract?
That is not a function of this addon. Converting forms to PDF is another Formidable tool, also included in the Business plan.
