About Frames

Rebuilding the same hero, the same services section and the same footer on every project

Every new website starts with the same pieces: header, services block, testimonials, pricing, call to action. Rebuilding them from scratch, inventing class names and remembering accessibility only when everything is already done are hours the client never sees and that you can rarely bill for.

Whoever designs websites for others wins or loses margin on that repeated part. Frames is a library of layouts and components for Bricks Builder, designed so that this base comes already solved and you can spend your time on what sets each client apart.

What Frames does inside Bricks

It offers more than 300 starter layouts that you can preview and copy and paste into your page, plus a library of dynamic components. What sets it apart from other collections is how they are built:

  • No imposed style: the layouts are neutral, so there are no presets to undo before applying the client's brand.
  • Classes organized with BEM: the class names are already thought out, and you don't have to invent them on every project.
  • Accessibility from the start: the structure is designed so more people can use the website, rather than leaving it as a pending task for the end.
  • Responsive with AutomaticCSS: scaling and spacing come from the ACSS system, not from manual adjustments in each section.

Since the code is visible in Bricks, it also works for learning: you open a layout and see how careful work is structured.

How Frames fits depending on who you are

Freelancer working alone

If you do everything yourself, the advantage is composing pages by copying sections that are already built instead of building them one by one. The savings show most on small projects, where the budget doesn't allow many hours of layout work.

Small agency that wants consistency

When several people work on different sites, each one usually names classes their own way. A shared base with fixed conventions means anyone can open another person's project and understand it.

Someone still learning the ACSS workflow

There is a learning curve: Frames assumes you work with the AutomaticCSS system and its variables. The layouts are easy to adapt, but it's worth dedicating a first project to practice before using it with a client who has a deadline.

It needs Bricks Builder and AutomaticCSS to work

Frames is not a theme or a page builder: it's layouts and components for Bricks. Without Bricks you have nowhere to paste them. It is also built on AutomaticCSS, so without that plugin active the layouts won't behave as expected. Nor is it a set of complete importable websites: they are sections and components you use to build your own, and you supply the content, images and branding.

Frequently asked questions about Frames

Does it work with other page builders?

No. It is designed for Bricks Builder.

Can I use it without AutomaticCSS?

That is not the intended use: Frames relies on AutomaticCSS for scaling, spacing and responsive behavior.

Do they come with their own design?

They are neutral layouts with no brand styling. You define the colors, typography and visual details yourself.

Is it suitable for someone who doesn't know CSS well?

You can copy and paste layouts without writing code, but you get much more out of it if you understand how classes and ACSS variables work.

When it really pays off

It pays off if you build several sites a year in Bricks and already use or want to use AutomaticCSS. If you only make one site of your own, or work with another builder, the learning investment won't give you the time back.
