About FunnelKit Automations Connectors
Your store knows what people buy, your CRM doesn't
Orders stay in WooCommerce while mailing lists live in another tool. The result is familiar: someone buys and still gets the welcome email, or abandons a cart and nobody tags them until someone exports a CSV by hand.
FunnelKit Automations Connectors is the add-on that links FunnelKit Automations workflows with external services such as ActiveCampaign, Drip, ConvertKit or Twilio. The underlying idea: the tags and lists in your CRM should come from what customers do in your store, not from what someone remembers to update.
From order to tag: a walkthrough with ActiveCampaign
Picture a store that wants to separate first-time buyers from repeat ones. The flow would look like this:
- Step 1, the trigger: in the FunnelKit Automations visual workflow builder you pick the event, for example an order or a submitted form. This comes from Automations, not from the connector.
- Step 2, the condition: you add a rule, such as a minimum order amount, so not every contact gets the same treatment.
- Step 3, the external action: this is where the connector comes in. You choose an action in your service: add a tag or add the contact to a list.
- Step 4, the alert: if you connect them, you can send an SMS through Twilio so someone on the team finds out without checking the dashboard.
Two limits worth knowing. Each service has its own actions, so before designing the flow check in the demo that the action you need exists for your tool. And the connector does not send the emails: that still depends on WordPress SMTP or on your CRM.
Questions before installing FunnelKit Automations Connectors
- Does it work on its own? No. It is an add-on for FunnelKit Automations: without that plugin's workflows there is nowhere to attach the actions.
- Does it replace my email marketing tool? No, it connects it to your store. ActiveCampaign, Drip or ConvertKit keep doing their job; the connector passes them the information.
- Which services does it cover? ActiveCampaign, Drip, ConvertKit and Twilio, with more apps being added. If you use another one, check the list before deciding.
- Do I need to code? No: workflows are built with the visual builder by choosing a trigger, a condition and an action.
When you don't need it
If you manage your emails only from WordPress and use no CRM or Twilio, this add-on gives you nothing: it does not add campaigns or templates by itself.
It fits best if you already keep your list in an external service and are tired of maintaining by hand tags and segments that should update themselves with every purchase.
