About Geminiz – Astrology Blog WordPress theme WordPress Theme
An horoscope blog lives on readers coming back every week, not on a single visit
Publishing horoscopes often ends up as a blog where today's post buries yesterday's, readers cannot find their sign and nobody reminds them that something new is coming tomorrow. Geminiz is a WordPress theme built for that rhythm: astrology, tarot, love and advice with posts that follow one another almost like a calendar.
Readers do not look for an article, they look for their sign in their week. That is why the archive and the tags (the demo uses a few such as aquarius, pisces, tarot or love) matter more than the homepage.
Seven headers, three footers and four layouts so your blog does not look like every other one
Many astrology blogs look alike because they share the same dark, starry template. With Geminiz you can change the structure with these options:
- Headers and footers: seven header styles and three footer styles.
- Post listing: classic, grid, masonry or justified layout.
- Sidebar: on the left, on the right or none at all.
- Sample pages: typography, error 404, documentation and contact.
If you publish one horoscope per sign every week, compare the grid and masonry layouts in the demo. If you write long articles about astrology, the classic layout with a sidebar helps you link to tags and latest posts.
Eight post formats to mix horoscopes, video and audio
Geminiz supports standard and non-standard posts, gallery, image, link, quote, video and audio. That lets you alternate the weekly text horoscope with a card of the day as an image, an inspiring phrase as a quote or a tarot reading as video or audio, without each type of content looking like a patch.
Besides the post list, the demo shows an About me block, latest posts, a tag cloud, social media icons and a subscription form to receive news by email. Treat them as starting points: the sample text in the About me block talks about fashion and magazines, not astrology, and the icons include Google+, which no longer exists and should be removed.
Is Geminiz right for you if you want to sell consultations and not just publish?
Geminiz is a blog theme, not a shop or a booking system. What the demo shows is posts, tags and subscription, so if you want to charge for birth charts or sessions, you will need to add a booking or commerce plugin yourself and check in the demo how it fits with this design.
Can it be used for a blog that is not about astrology?
Yes, the structure is that of a general blog with varied formats, but the look and the sample texts are strongly oriented to horoscopes and zodiac signs.
Can I publish a different horoscope for each sign?
Yes, with posts and tags per sign, just as the demo does with its weekly horoscope posts. It has no sign selector or automatic horoscope generator: you write the content yourself.
Does the subscription form send newsletters?
The theme shows a subscription form, but it is not clear that it handles the mailings by itself. Check how it works in the demo and, if you want to send regular newsletters, consider connecting a separate email service.
Does it look good on mobile?
Check your own images and long titles on a small screen before publishing.
