About Gutenberry – Gutenberg-based Clean Blog WordPress Theme
For people who publish text and photos at their own pace, not for those who need a business website
Many blogs don't die from a lack of ideas, but because every new post means fighting with the design. Gutenberry is made for the person who writes or photographs, opens the editor, builds with blocks and publishes without fuss.
It suits you if:
- Your site is mainly a personal, opinion, photography or trends blog.
- You prefer a minimalist look to a cluttered homepage.
- You want to work with the WordPress block editor.
It is not for you if you are looking for a store, a booking system or a corporate website with many services: it is a blog theme, and its demo revolves around posts, an About Me page and a contact page.
Gutenberry and its listings: from classic without a sidebar to a grid
The demo shows several ways to display posts: a classic listing without a sidebar, a small classic version without a sidebar, and grids in large or small format. This matters because a blog with many posts reads differently depending on how you present it.
There is also a single post template and a typography page.
A homepage in six variants
The demo homepage appears in variants named Crystal, Mauve, Azure, Lavender, Nude and Obsidian.
Chess layouts and galleries: try them in the demo
The sample articles talk about chess layouts, grids for photos and galleries. They are block editor resources you can apply in your posts. Check in the demo which ones look like the theme's own styles and which are standard WordPress blocks that you will have to build yourself.
Watch out for one expectation: don't assume it comes with extra blocks or a widgets plugin. It works with the block editor that WordPress already has.
What surrounds the article: newsletter, social links and About Me
- Newsletter signup: the demo homepage includes a block to collect emails. You will need a separate sending service to deliver the newsletters.
- Social links: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Dribbble appear in the footer.
- About Me and Contact pages: the demo includes an About Me page and a contact page.
Questions before choosing Gutenberry
Do I need a page builder?
You don't need one to get started: the theme is designed around the WordPress block editor.
Is it suitable for an online store?
That is not its purpose. It is a blog theme with posts, informational pages and a contact page.
Can I show my posts without a sidebar?
Yes, the demo includes classic listings without a sidebar.
Can I change the look of the homepage?
The demo shows several variants of the homepage. Check it to see which one is closest to what you want.
