About JetFormBuilder Address Autocomplete Addon
A mistyped address is a parcel that never arrives
People filling in an address on their phone get the street wrong, skip the postcode or abandon the form halfway. For you the result is the same: a returned order, a candidate you cannot contact or a vote that counts for nothing. JetFormBuilder Address Autocomplete Addon works right there: as the person types, it suggests up to 5 places and, once they pick one, the rest of the address fills in on its own.
It is an add-on for JetFormBuilder Pro, not a standalone plugin: you need JetFormBuilder installed, and it is activated from the plugin's own addons panel.
A new field in the JetFormBuilder editor
The addon adds a field type to the block editor. You drag it into the form like any other and adjust it in the side panel:
- Label, field name and description: you set a custom label, change the field's slug and add a description.
- Default value: handy if you want the field to start with a specific text.
- Countries: you restrict the search to one or several at the same time.
- Place type: you decide what kind of results appear.
The idea suits registration forms, job applications, surveys, votes and orders, where it helps to fill in country, city, state and postcode without anyone typing them by hand.
Filter by country and place type to match what you need
The difference between a useful autocomplete and an annoying one lies in the filters. There are five place types:
- Address: precise addresses only.
- Establishment: businesses only.
- Cities and Regions: localities, postcodes, provinces or countries.
- Geocode: location results that may be imprecise.
If you only sell in a couple of countries, limit the search to them and you will avoid suggestions you cannot serve. If you select no type, results of every type appear.
The search uses the Google Maps widget and you can change its look from the style settings, in both Elementor and Gutenberg, so it does not clash with your design.
Is depending on a Google Places key worth it for you?
Before installing it, be clear about what it asks for. The suggestions come from Google Places, so you need a Google Cloud API key with a billing account set up. Also, the addon suggests addresses but does not guarantee that the person lives there, and since searches go through a Google service, your privacy policy should reflect it.

No. It is an add-on for JetFormBuilder Pro and is installed from its addons panel.
Can I limit the search to several countries?
Yes, you can set restrictions by several countries at the same time.
How many suggestions does it show?
Up to 5 places per search.
Can I adapt its style to my site?
Yes, the Google Maps search widget accepts style settings in Elementor and in Gutenberg.
