About JetSearch For Elementor

When your store search doesn't understand what the customer types

Someone who uses a store's search box already knows what they want, which is why they are usually the visitor closest to buying. If they type an author, a reference or a misspelled word and get an empty page, they don't start browsing categories: they leave. The native WordPress search, designed for posts and pages, rarely rises to that moment.

JetSearch For Elementor is a Crocoblock plugin that adds a live search to the pages you build with Elementor. It also works with the block editor and with Bricks. The clearest way to see it is with a case: an online bookstore running WooCommerce.

A bookstore, from the first letter to the results page

First: you decide where to search

Before laying anything out, you choose which content goes into the search:

  • posts and pages;
  • items of custom post types;
  • WooCommerce products;
  • taxonomy terms, categories and tags.

In the store you can search by SKU, by product meta and custom fields, by category, tags and attributes, and even by booking availability. For the bookstore, what matters is that the customer finds a book by title as well as by author. You can include or exclude specific terms so that what you don't want to sell doesn't show up. Be careful: what you don't index won't appear, so this step decides the quality of everything else.

Second: the customer types and results appear

AJAX search shows results as you type, without reloading the page. On that dropdown you can adjust several things: highlight the searched text, change the field's placeholder text, manage custom fields and show the most popular searches below or inside the bar.

Fuzzy search adds suggestions: popular queries, products the user may like, the user's search history, custom suggestions and automatic correction of common mistakes. That way "garcia marquez" without the accent or with a wrong letter doesn't end up on an empty screen.

The order of the results is also up to you: by relevance, ID or title, author, date created or modified, random, or menu order.

Third: they press Enter and land on a page you designed

If the customer wants to see everything, you need a results page. Here you create your own template, with SEO-friendly URLs, and choose to show results in a list, grid or masonry layout, with pagination. You design the template yourself: the plugin gives you the search and the building blocks, not a ready-made store. And the product features assume WooCommerce is installed.

Common questions before putting JetSearch For Elementor in your store

Is it only for stores?

No. It also searches posts, pages, custom post types and taxonomies, so it works for a blog or a directory.

Does it correct customers' typos?

Fuzzy search includes automatic correction of common mistakes, along with suggestions and popular searches. Test it in the demo with the typical typos of your catalog.

Can I decide which result comes first?

Yes, with the ordering criteria already mentioned: relevance, title, author, dates, random or menu order.

Is it a booking system?

No. It can search by booking availability, but bookings are handled by another tool. Check in the demo which specific system it combines with.

Which editors does it work with?

With Elementor, with the WordPress block editor and with Bricks.

Search statistics: what your customers ask for without telling you

Every query is an order the customer places without speaking to you. JetSearch lets you show statistics of user searches, stored in its own database, and search suggestions in the dropdown. It is a clue to what repeats in your catalog, which titles deserve more prominence or which terms you should add to your products.

It is a search tool, not a store or a full page builder: it solves the moment of finding, and the rest of the experience stays in your hands.
