For anyone who shows large images and wants nothing competing with them
A portfolio lost among menus, banners and sidebars makes the client see the decoration and not the work. Konzept starts from the opposite idea: fullscreen and a minimal interface, so the project is the only thing being looked at.
It suits you if you are a photographer, a designer, or you work in motion, identity, web or print, and you have quality visual material. It does not suit you if you want to sell products or if your site relies mostly on long text: it has a blog, but its approach is visual. And keep in mind that at fullscreen size a mediocre image shows more, not less.
Konzept and three ways to organize the same work
Someone visiting a portfolio decides quickly whether to stay or leave, and not everyone looks for the same thing: some want to see images, others want to read a client list. That is why projects can be shown in three ways, in a dark or light version:
- Thumbnails: the classic grid to explore at a glance.
- Text listing: project titles, more sober and quicker to scan.
- Thumbnails with slideshow: a moving cover and the grid below.
There is also a category filter, and a project can belong to several categories, which is useful when one piece is both identity and web work.
A featured slider with images or HTML5 video
The home page supports a slider with images or HTML5 videos, and projects accept YouTube and Vimeo video. If you work in motion, this matters more than any other feature. Project and slide descriptions can include external links, for example to the client or to a published piece.
The theme uses fullscreen on any device and scales for high-density screens, including Retina. It also offers several ways to control navigation, so each visitor can move through it as they prefer.
The pages that surround the portfolio
A portfolio is rarely just projects: the client also wants to know who you are and how to contact you. Konzept includes news, about us and services sections, a blog, a contact form and a built-in Dribbble feed (it only makes sense if you post on Dribbble). You can create other pages with custom layouts. It comes with SEO optimization and social sharing buttons.
Uploading and ordering projects without fighting the panel
Uploading works by drag and drop, and slides are reordered the same way. The options panel carries no branding, and you can set a text logo with a tagline or an image logo. It includes a PSD and extensive documentation, and it adapts to iPhone, iPad and Android.

Does it work if my work is video?
Yes: it supports HTML5 video slides and YouTube and Vimeo video.
Can I build a store with it?
That is not its purpose. It is designed to show work, not to sell products.
