LearnDash LMS WooCommerce Integration connects the two pieces so that the WooCommerce purchase and the LearnDash course form a single journey.

You sell courses alongside other things
If besides training you sell other things, such as tickets, everything goes through WooCommerce.
One Woo product, one LearnDash course
The integration links WooCommerce products to LearnDash courses. The product is what the customer sees and buys; the course is what they receive.

Does it work with any payment gateway?
Yes, the integration works with the gateways you already have active in WooCommerce. You don't need a specific payment method for courses.
Can I sell other things besides courses?
Yes. WooCommerce remains your full store; courses are just one more type of product.
Does it replace LearnDash?
No. It's a bridge between LearnDash and WooCommerce.
Can I use it to restrict content by membership plans?
LearnDash has a separate integration with WooCommerce Memberships for that. If your model is membership rather than selling individual courses, look at that option and check in the demo how it fits your case.
It needs LearnDash and WooCommerce running together
This plugin doesn't include its own classroom or store: without LearnDash there are no courses to sell, and without WooCommerce there's no cart to take payment. Nor is it a page builder or a sales landing page tool, so you'll design the offer with your theme or page builder.
