A portfolio is judged on the first scroll, not on the menu
People who show their work online often end up with a grid of thumbnails where everything carries the same weight, or with project pages that are just a photo and a title. And whoever hires a creative does not review everything: they open two or three projects and decide whether you fit. Each project page is your sales pitch, because it hints at how you will treat that client's work. Lekker, by Mikado-Themes, is built for that buyer: designers, illustrators and other creative profiles who need many ways to organize and tell the story of their projects.
Lekker and its lists: gallery, masonry, slider or justified gallery
The Portfolio List shortcode displays your projects on any page you like and supports several layouts. Choosing the right one changes how your work is read:
- Gallery
- Masonry
- Slider
- Justified gallery
Each project also has its own page, with masonry, gallery, images or slider layouts.
Headers, marquees and blocks for a home page with character
There are standard, vertical and minimal headers, a vertical sliding one and a fullscreen menu. The header can be fixed, sticky or sticky only when scrolling up. You can upload different logos for the normal, sticky and mobile versions, and others for the dark and light styles, which is handy when the home page opens with a background image.
To build pages it includes shortcodes such as Image Marquee and Text Marquee, Interactive Link Showcase, clients, team, testimonials, pricing table, counters, progress bars, countdown and Google Map. It also includes a mega menu, a side area, a footer with 1 to 4 columns, more than 900 Google Fonts and several icon packs.
The demo images are not yours and the add-ons come separately
Before deciding, separate what Lekker already solves from what you will have to cover yourself:
- Solved: one-click demo content import, a large collection of pages and layouts, a child theme, Slider Revolution included, responsive and retina design, translation ready and compatible with WPML and Contact Form 7.
- On your own: the demo photos are only samples. To use them on your site you need to buy their license from a stock image site, or use your own.
- With another plugin: Elementor, Qi Addons for Elementor or Qi Blocks for Gutenberg. The theme is compatible with them, but they are plugins you install separately.
- With another plugin: the shop needs WooCommerce, and the wishlist needs the QODE Wishlist for WooCommerce plugin.
- Up to you: the contact form, which depends on Contact Form 7, and the texts and projects of your portfolio.
Questions before choosing Lekker
Do I need to know how to code?
No. It is configured from the admin panel, and the demo import gives you a base of ready-made pages that you only have to replace with your own content.
Is it mandatory to use Elementor?
No. It is designed to work with Elementor, or with Gutenberg together with Qi Blocks, depending on which you feel more comfortable with.
Can I use it to sell products?
It is compatible with WooCommerce and includes a dropdown cart plus product and category lists. You need to install WooCommerce, and it is a portfolio theme first and a shop theme second.
Can I set it up in another language?
It is translation ready and compatible with WPML, which is a separate plugin.
Can I keep the demo photos?
No. They only serve to present the theme, and you would have to acquire their license yourself.
