About Link Whisper Pro Plugin
When you write, you link backwards; never forwards
When drafting a new article, the natural thing is to link to what already exists: you remember two or three earlier pieces and cite them. What almost nobody does is the opposite, going back to articles from two years ago so they point to the one you published today.
The effect builds up. Your newest pages, which are often the ones you most want to rank, are the ones that receive the fewest internal links, and some receive none: they are left orphaned, without a single link from your own site leading to them.
Link Whisper Pro is built around that gap. Besides suggesting links while you write, it finds pages with no inbound links and proposes which older articles to link them from, so you can add them from its reports without opening each post.

Auto-linking, with care
The most tempting feature is the one most worth watching. You define a keyword and a URL, and Link Whisper links every mention of that word across the site. Used well it saves hours; used badly it fills your texts with repeated links to the same page.
Three habits prevent it: turning on the one link per post option, keeping it for terms that can only mean one thing, and excluding from suggestions the URLs or categories that should not receive links. For everything else, suggestions are slower but every link goes past your eyes, because each one is accepted, edited or ignored.
Where internal linking ends
It does not get you links from other sites. It is an internal linking plugin: external links pointing to you are still a separate job. Nor does it write content.
It depends on an external service for the AI. On activation it connects to its own artificial intelligence engine, with no separate API keys. If your internal policy requires knowing what data leaves the site, it is worth asking before activating it.
From the report to the first link: requirements and steps
WordPress 4.6 or later, PHP 7.4 or later and a self-hosted install. It works with WooCommerce and most custom post types, and reads text from builders such as Elementor, Divi 5, Oxygen, YOOtheme, Themify or Cornerstone. Besides English, it supports 23 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French and German.
- Review the report and note the orphaned pages.
- Start with the ones that matter most to you and add inbound links from older articles.
- Set the exclusions before linking in bulk.
- Leave auto-linking for last, with few keywords and one link per post.
Other internal linking plugins
For automatic linking with fixed rules, Internal Link Juicer links by keywords defined on each piece of content, with per-paragraph limits and anchor text variation.
