About LMS, Online Courses WordPress Theme – eLearni

Your classes are good, but your site doesn't show progress

People who teach online usually have the content sorted and the order unsorted: videos in one place, exercises in another and questions by email. Students rarely drop out because of the syllabus; they drop out when they don't know how far they've come or what's next. eLearni is built to organise that: courses with modules, visible progress and student and tutor profiles. It is a theme for teachers, tutors, trainers and coaches.

Courses with lessons, quizzes and assignments in eLearni

The course side comes from the DesignThemes LMS Addon plugin, which comes with the theme. Each curriculum is built from lessons, quizzes and assignments through a simple interface. On top of that, the theme offers a course page, learning modules, progress tracking, discussion inside each course and student and tutor profiles.

A course showcase you can build without writing code

The course and class shortcodes cover search and instant search, free and paid courses, upcoming, recent, most enrolled and highest rated ones, categories, courses by instructor, grid, list, isotope and carousel.

Everything is assembled with WPBakery Page Builder (drag and drop), with the Ultimate Addon for extra elements and with Slider Revolution for headers. The customizer has live preview, and typography lets you choose from more than 600 Google fonts and the FontAwesome icons.

Forum, social network and calendar: each piece is switched on separately

With bbPress, the forum is reserved for enrolled students: only they can see the content and post topics. BuddyPress adds profiles, groups and messages if you want a small social network between students and teachers. There is compatibility with The Events Calendar (including its Pro version) and with Event Schedule, and Contact Form 7 handles forms. They are separate plugins, and each one has to be installed and configured.

The demo images are not included

Importing the demo in one click (through Unyson) leaves you with the showcase structure, but not its photos, which are copyrighted. This is the real split:

  • Solved: course structure with lessons, quizzes and assignments, student and tutor profiles, and course listings.
  • Solved: bbPress forum limited to enrolled students.
  • Yours: getting the photographs, since the demo ones cannot be downloaded.
  • Yours: installing WooCommerce if you will charge from the site, since the theme is compatible but does not bring it active on its own.
  • Yours: the Pro calendar if you want its extra views, such as map or photo.
  • Yours: writing the syllabus, recording the videos and preparing the quizzes.

The theme is designed around WPBakery; if you work with another builder, this is not the most comfortable route.

Questions before choosing eLearni

Can I load the demo in one click?

Yes, with the Unyson importer. You get the demo content and structure, but not its images.

Can I sell courses with it?

The LMS Addon is used to create and sell courses, and the theme is compatible with WooCommerce. Check in the demo how the purchase flow looks before deciding.

Can students talk to each other?

Yes: the bbPress forum is reserved for enrolled students, and BuddyPress adds profiles, groups and messages if you install it.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The shortcodes and the visual builder let you assemble sections without code, although it is worth spending some time learning their options.
