About Lockey – CCTV and Security Systems WordPress Theme

Nobody opens their building to a company they have not seen in a similar one

Whoever hires cameras or alarms is about to let a stranger walk through their premises, see the weak points and learn where the recordings are kept. A list of services does not ease that concern. The real question is another one: whether you have already worked in a place like theirs.

In security, the proof that carries weight is the kind of place you have already protected. Lockey, the theme by 7oroof for CCTV, home security and alarm companies, includes industry pages and case studies alongside the service pages. Fill those two before polishing the home page.

The pages Lockey gives a security company

  • Services, industries and case studies, each with its listing and its single page.
  • Quote request and pricing page.
  • CCTV tools shop, with options for the shop, the product page and the cart.
  • Team, clients, testimonials, questions and answers, gallery, careers and blog.
  • Several home page concepts and headers, plus blocks and options for composing your pages.
  • Elementor and an in-house builder, both included, along with Revolution Slider and Contact Form 7.
  • Google Maps and Newsletter, to place your office and build a mailing list.

How to turn your jobs into industries and cases

Create an industry page only where you have real experience. A few industries with jobs behind them say more than many empty ones. On each one, explain which risks you handle there and link to a case.

A useful case tells the kind of place, the starting problem and what you installed. Ask the client for permission before naming them, and leave out addresses, floor plans and the exact position of cameras or sensors: that information is precisely what your client wants protected.

The careers section has its own content type, useful if you hire technicians regularly.

A site that sells the service, with no cameras connected

Lockey presents your company and does not run your systems. Among its features there is no live video, alarm panel or area where a client reviews incidents. That stays in your equipment's software.

Its features do not include a quote calculator either: the request page lets you receive the inquiry, and you still work out the price of each installation.

The shop relies on WooCommerce, so catalog, shipping and taxes are configured there, and you load the products yourself.

Server, plugins and demo in the right order

The theme asks for these server values:

  • Memory: 256 MB or more.
  • Post and upload size: 64 MB or more for each.
  • Maximum execution time: 3000 seconds or more.
  • max_input_vars: 4000 at minimum, 6000 recommended.
  • Components: mod_rewrite, GD, cURL, OpenSSL and allow_url_fopen.

With that ready, follow this order:

  1. Install Lockey from Appearance > Themes or by FTP.
  2. Add the child theme if you will modify theme files.
  3. Click Install & Active to install the required plugins.
  4. Import the content from the Lockey menu, under Import Demo.
  5. If images are missing on the front end, check Elementor > Tools.

If you provide guards as well as cameras

Panthar is aimed at private security and CCTV, covers guard agencies and bodyguards, and supports right-to-left writing. It is worth a look if your main business is people rather than installation.

Keymaster is another theme in the catalog for security services, and it is worth comparing with Lockey.

An installer's questions about Lockey

Is it only for cameras?

It is designed for CCTV, home security and alarms, so it covers a company offering all three lines.

Do I have to use Elementor?

You can choose between Elementor and the theme's in-house builder, because it includes both.

Can I sell equipment from the site?

Yes. It is compatible with WooCommerce and includes a CCTV tools shop page.

Does it include ready-made home pages?

Yes. It includes several home page concepts ready to use.

Can it be translated?

Yes. It is compatible with WPML and has a guide for translating the theme.

What do I do if the one-click import fails?

It has a manual import procedure. Also review the server limits from the earlier section.
